Design and Strategic Synthesis of Some β-Carboline-Based Novel Natural Products of Biological Importance
β-Carboline compounds and their derivatives have attracted strong interest in medicinal chemistry due to their biological and pharmacological properties. Many bioactive β-carboline-based natural products have been found to be an important source of drugs and drug leads. β-Carboline has major players in natural products chemistry, which plays an important role in drug discovery. β-Carboline represents the core unit of several natural products, alkaloids, and bioactive compounds. The unusual and complex molecular architectures of natural products pose significant challenges to organic chemists and are a source of inspiration for the development of new organic reactions and innovative synthetic strategies. However, in many cases, β-carboline natural products are isolated in only minute quantities, and their constant supply from natural sources is problematic or virtually impossible. In addition, chemoselective derivatization of natural products themselves is usually quite difficult because of their sensitive and elaborate molecular structures, and access to their structural analogs is severely restricted in many cases. Since chemical synthesis is expected to be the only way to overcome these shortcomings, β-carboline natural products are rewarding synthetic targets for organic chemists. This chapter assimilates the reports pertaining to the synthetic applications of some β-carbolines for the synthesis of substituted and fused β-carbolines
violation in : a model independent analysis
We perform a model-independent global fit to all germane and updated () data assuming new physics couplings to be complex.
Under the approximation that new physics universally affects muon and electron
sectors and that either one or two related operators contribute at a time, we
identify scenarios which provide a good fit to the data. It turns out that the
favored scenarios remain the same as obtained for the real fit. Further, the
magnitude of complex couplings can be as large as that of their real
counterparts and these are reflected in the predictions of the direct
asymmetry, , in along with a number
of angular asymmetries, , in decay. The
sensitivities of these observables to various solutions are different in the
low and high- bins. We also determine observables which can serve as
unique identifier for a particular new physics solution. Moreover, we examine
correlations between and several observables. A precise
measurement of and observables can not only confirm the
existence of additional weak phases but can also enable unique determination of
Lorentz structure of possible new physics in transition.Comment: 15 pages, 4 figures; updated results in view of December 2022 LHCb

Microwave assisted synthesis of 2,4-diaryl-2,3-dihydro-1H-1,5-benzodiazepines on solventless inorganic solid support and their antibacterial activities
The chemical reactivity of α,β-unsaturated carbonyl system of synthesised substituted chalcones have been utilized for the synthesis of variously substituted benzodiazepines by the reaction of O-phenylenediamine (OPDA).In the present investigation we have carried out the reactionunder both conventional method and microwave assisted organic synthesis (MAOS) technique in presence of basic alumina / silica gel. The results of this procedure when compared to conventional method, demonstrate the versatility of the solid phase microwave assisted process resulting remarkable rate enhancement and dramatic reduction in reaction time, with better yield. The structure of compounds are supported by spectral and analytical data. The structure-activity relationship of synthesized compounds have also been studied
Effectiveness of Laparoscopic Ovarian Drilling (LOD) on restoration of menstrual cycles, ovulation and pregnancy in clomiphene citrate resistant women with PCOS
Background: Anovulatory infertility is present in 75% of patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), in addition to oligomenorrhoea and signs and symptoms of hyperandrogenism. This study was performed to evaluate the role of laparoscopic ovarian drilling (LOD) on ovulation, restoring menstrual cycles and pregnancy in clomiphene resistant women with PCOS.Methods: This prospective cohort study included 50 women who were diagnosed with PCOS and anovulatory infertility. These patients had already tried Clomiphene citrate for conception and did not ovulate, underwent LOD between 1st September 2009 until February 2011 in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, at the Panna Dhay Mahila Chikitasalya, Udaipur. The major outcome measures include spontaneous ovulation, menstrual regularity after LOD and pregnancy rates. Results: Among 50 patients 33 (66%) started to menstruate regularly and 60% ovulated spontaneously, of them 24 (48%) conceived. Conclusions: Women with PCOS respond favourably to LOD
COMPARATIVE EFFICACY OF CLOSED AND OPEN KINETIC CHAIN EXERCISES ON DEVELOPMENT OF EXPLOSIVE STRENGTH IN LOWER EXTREMITY
The purpose of the study is to compare the efficacy of closed and open kinetic chain exercises on development of explosive strength in lower extremity and to determine which mode of training resulted in the greatest performance enhancement. The case study incorporated randomly a total of seventy five college level players of different games, each aged between 19 to 24 years. The total seventy five players were randomly divided into equal three groups. Among these groups, two different groups were gone through closed chain kinetic and open chain kinetic exercises respectively and one group kept as control group. Progressive weight training thrice a week for 7 weeks scheduled. Necessary data was collected by administering standing broad jump performance prior to training and at the completion of the training period. Statistical technique Analysis of covariance test was applied to compare the efficacy between closed chain and open chain kinetic exercise at 0.05 level of significance, while significant changes were seen in the open kinetic chain group and close chain kinetic group. The closed kinetic chain group improved in .16 meters which was significantly more than the .08 meters seen in the open kinetic chain group. The result reveals close chain kinetic exercise mode of training resulted in the greatest strength development in lower extremity. Article visualizations
Microwave assisted synthesis of 3,5–diaryl-6-carbethoxy cyclohex-2-en-1-ones on solvent less inorganic solid supportand their antibacterial activities
A variety of 3,5–diaryl–6-carbethoxy cyclohex-2-en-1-ones derivatives (4a-g) were synthesized by the reaction of ethylacetoacetate with substituted chalcones in conventional(acetone & anhy. K 2CO3) and microwave assisted solution phase (acetone & anhy. K 2CO3) and dry media (basic Al 2O3/piperidine). From the comparative study wehave concluded that efficient dry media synthesis of 3,5–diaryl–6-carbethoxy cyclohex-2-en-1-ones under microwave irradiation can be carried out in domestic microwave oven with enhanced reaction rates and improved yields. The structure of compounds are supported by spectral and analytical data. The structure activity relationship of synthesized compounds have also been studied
