The relevance of the study is due to the need to improve the efficiency of personnel management in agriculture at the meso-level, which is caused by the aggravation of the competition, directly related to globalization and the instability of intercountry interaction. In many regions of Russia, there are negative trends in the social and labor sphere of rural areas and a decrease in the share of agricultural enterprises. In these conditions, the priority is the development of import substitution and the active creation and implementation of innovations, which increases the requirements for professional education. The purpose of the article is to assess the impact of vocational education of personnel of agricultural organizations in municipal districts of the region on the annual volume of their production. In preparing the article, we used: monographic method; systemic, sectoral, decomposition and complex methodological approaches; structural-temporal analysis and regression analysis (in kind and in standardized form). A methodology has been developed for analyzing the staffing of agricultural organizations in municipal districts of the region and the impact of vocational education and its components on the volume of production; established an annual decrease in the number of people actually employed in agriculture; by constructing multivariate regression models, the influence of the number in groups of personnel categories on the volume of production of agricultural organizations in current prices was revealed. Models of closeness of connection are given on a natural scale and in standardized form, the latter provide an opportunity to compare the impact of each of the factors on the volume of production. The groups were identified that have direct and inverse relationships with the performance indicator. The obtained quantitative assessments of existing processes (including latent ones) significantly expand information support in the formation of personnel policy both at the meso-level and in organizations. Elimination of the existing negative phenomena will ensure an increase in the efficiency of agriculture as a production system. In the future, the continuation of this study is relevant, in particular, in the sectoral context, both in complex industries and in subsectors

Phenanthrene-9,10-dicarbonitriles show various luminescence behaviour in solution and in the solid state. Aggregation patterns of phenanthrene-9,10-dicarbonitriles govern their luminescent properties in the solid state. Single crystal structures of phenanthrene-9,10-dicarbonitriles showed head-to-tail intraplane (or quasi-intraplane) intermolecular interactions and π-stacking patterns with eclipsing of molecules when viewed orthogonal to the stacking plane. The π-stacking interactions were detected in the X-ray structures of phenanthrene-9,10-dicarbonitriles and studied by DFT calculations at the M06–2X/6–311++G(d,p) level of theory and topological analysis of the electron density distribution within the framework of QTAIM method. The estimated strength of the C⋯C contacts responsible for the π-stacking interactions is 0.6–1.1 kcal/mol. The orientation of molecules in crystals depends on the substituents in phenanthrene-9,10-dicarbonitriles. Distinct molecular orientation and packing arrangements in crystalline phenanthrene-9,10-dicarbonitriles ensured perturbed electronic communication among the nearest and non-nearest molecules through an interplay of excimer and dipole couplings. As a result, the intermolecular interactions govern the solid state luminescence of molecules

Structures and photophysical properties of 3,4-diaryl-1H-pyrrol-2,5-diimines and 2,3-diarylmaleimides

Structural features of 3,4-diaryl-1H-pyrrol-2,5-diimines and their derivatives have been studied by molecular spectroscopy techniques, single-crystal X-ray diffraction, and DFT calculations. According to the theoretical calculations, the diimino tautomeric form of 3,4-diaryl-1H-pyrrol-2,5-diimines is more stable in solution than the imino-enamino form. We also found that the structurally related 2,3 exist in the solid state in the dimeric diketo form. 3,4-Diary1-1H-pyrrol-2,5-diimines and 2,3-diarylmaleimides exhibit fluorescence in the blue region of the visible spectrum. The fluorescence spectra have large Stokes shifts. Aryl substituents at the 3,4-positions of 1H-pyrrol-2,5-diimine do not significantly affect fluorescence properties. The insertion of donor substituents into 2,3diarylmaleimides leads to bathochromic shift of emission bands with hyperchromic effect. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved

Introduction. Psychological care as the essence of psychological rehabilitation in оoncology is based on the working with the experiences of patients caused by cancer. The specificity of the patient’s experience is determined by the localization of the tumor and the importance attached to the patient’s diseased part of the body. Gynecological cancer affects important areas for women related to femininity, motherhood, affecting her sexual life and family relations. The objective is the psychological study of the experiences of oncogynecological patients, the specificity of which must be taken into account in the process of psychological rehabilitation. Material and methods. 41 patients aged from19 to 45 years with oncogynecological diseases at different stages of treatment were examined. The data of the clinical and psychological interviews were supplemented by the results of psychodiagnostic tests -TOBOL, Hissen questionnaire of somatic complaints, EQRTCQLQ-C30. Results. Long period of denial of the malignant disease is not characteristic for oncogynecological patients. Disturbing component in patients at the stage of «before operation» and dysphoric component in patients at the stage of «after surgery» were dominated on the background of ergopathic reactions to the disease in the structure of attitude to the disease. The high intensity of complaints of female patients about their health, including non-specific, indicating the psychosomatic component of the patient’s suffering was revealed. The life quality of patients is interconnected with their idea of the types of treatment, their dangers. It is shown that cancer is a psychological crisis not only for the oncogynecological patient, but also for other members of her family, especially her husband. Conclusions. Psychological care for oncogynecological patients in the process of psychological rehabilitation should be based on the account of their deep experiences, which are determined by the self-relationship of women and the adoption of themselves and that patients are not aware, but affect their attitude to the disease and treatment and, thereby, determine their life quality. Psychological care aimed to building new relationships, which are adequate to the situation of the disease, is necessary for the whole family of the patient.

HIV Replication Enhances Production of Free Fatty Acids, Low Density Lipoproteins and Many Key Proteins Involved in Lipid Metabolism: A Proteomics Study

Get PDF
BACKGROUND: HIV-infected patients develop multiple metabolic abnormalities including insulin resistance, lipodystrophy and dyslipidemia. Although progression of these disorders has been associated with the use of various protease inhibitors and other antiretroviral drugs, HIV-infected individuals who have not received these treatments also develop lipid abnormalities albeit to a lesser extent. How HIV alters lipid metabolism in an infected cell and what molecular changes are affected through protein interaction pathways are not well-understood. RESULTS: Since many genetic, epigenetic, dietary and other factors influence lipid metabolism in vivo, we have chosen to study genome-wide changes in the proteomes of a human T-cell line before and after HIV infection in order to circumvent computational problems associated with multiple variables. Four separate experiments were conducted including one that compared 14 different time points over a period of >3 months. By subtractive analyses of protein profiles overtime, several hundred differentially expressed proteins were identified in HIV-infected cells by mass spectrometry and each protein was scrutinized for its biological functions by using various bioinformatics programs. Herein, we report 18 HIV-modulated proteins and their interaction pathways that enhance fatty acid synthesis, increase low density lipoproteins (triglycerides), dysregulate lipid transport, oxidize lipids, and alter cellular lipid metabolism. CONCLUSIONS: We conclude that HIV replication alone (i.e. without any influence of antiviral drugs, or other human genetic factors), can induce novel cellular enzymes and proteins that are significantly associated with biologically relevant processes involved in lipid synthesis, transport and metabolism (p = <0.0002-0.01). Translational and clinical studies on the newly discovered proteins may now shed light on how some of these proteins may be useful for early diagnosis of individuals who might be at high risk for developing lipid-related disorders. The target proteins could then be used for future studies in the development of inhibitors for preventing lipid-metabolic anomalies. This is the first direct evidence that HIV-modulates production of proteins that are significantly involved in disrupting the normal lipid-metabolic pathways

Robust estimation of bacterial cell count from optical density

Optical density (OD) is widely used to estimate the density of cells in liquid culture, but cannot be compared between instruments without a standardized calibration protocol and is challenging to relate to actual cell count. We address this with an interlaboratory study comparing three simple, low-cost, and highly accessible OD calibration protocols across 244 laboratories, applied to eight strains of constitutive GFP-expressing E. coli. Based on our results, we recommend calibrating OD to estimated cell count using serial dilution of silica microspheres, which produces highly precise calibration (95.5% of residuals <1.2-fold), is easily assessed for quality control, also assesses instrument effective linear range, and can be combined with fluorescence calibration to obtain units of Molecules of Equivalent Fluorescein (MEFL) per cell, allowing direct comparison and data fusion with flow cytometry measurements: in our study, fluorescence per cell measurements showed only a 1.07-fold mean difference between plate reader and flow cytometry data

No full text
Nowadays, during rehabilitation of oncologic patients of fertile age, one of the main tasks is the restoration and maintenance of menstrual function after radical treatment to recover patients fertility. The main issue faced by obstetricians and gynecologists during management of pregnancy in patients who had undergone invasive treatment of pre malignancy and early cervical cancer, is the threat of prematurity and premature labor. There is no unanimous opinion about tactics of labor management in such females. In order to recover normal ovulatory menstrual cycles the application of combined hormonal contraceptives (CHC) for 6 months is indicated
