Analisis Wacana Kritis Program Mata Najwa “Balada Perda” Di Metrotv
On the pulsating strings in Sasaki-Einstein spaces
We study the class of pulsating strings in AdS_5 x Y^{p,q} and AdS_5 x
L^{p,q,r}. Using a generalized ansatz for pulsating string configurations, we
find new solutions for this class in terms of Heun functions, and derive the
particular case of AdS_5 x T^{1,1}, which was analyzed in arXiv:1006.1539
[hep-th]. Unfortunately, Heun functions are still little studied, and we are
not able to quantize the theory quasi-classically and obtain the first
corrections to the energy. The latter, due to AdS/CFT correspondence, is
supposed to give the anomalous dimensions of operators of the gauge theory dual
N=1 superconformal field theory.Comment: 9 pages, talk given at the 2nd Int. Conference AMiTaNS, 21-26 June

Comparative advantage of potato production in seven regions of South Africa
The focus of this research was to investigate the comparative advantage of the potato industry in seven potato production regions in South Africa. Potatoes are the most important vegetable crop produced in South Africa. In 2008 it contributed more than 40% to the total production of vegetables in South Africa and it accounted for more than 20% of the value of all fresh produce sold on all the major national fresh produce markets. This study uses the Resource Cost Ratio (RCR) methodology that provides an explicit indication of the efficiency with which production alternatives uses domestic resources to generate or save foreign exchange. The Nominal Protection Ratio (NPR) and Effective Protection Coefficient (EPC) were also calculated. The results show that current policies that affects the input market for potato production in South Africa is constraining the potato industry. This was confirmed by the results obtained from the NPR and EPC analysis, and the size of the policy distortions was shown through the calculation of market and economic profitability. If current policies prevail potato production in the Eastern Free State will not have a comparative advantage, but in the absence of such policies all production regions have a comparative advantage.Crop Production/Industries,
Numerical Analysis of External Supersonic Combustion of Hydrogen and Ethylene
A numerical analysis using a CFD code specifically designed for hypersonic flows has been performed by modelling external supersonic combustion of hydrogen and ethylene fuels with hypersonic air flow at Mach 7.6. In comparison with the Coras- Paull [1,2] experimental data from the University of Queensland shock-tunnel, the results indicate good correlation of the relative pressure increase on fore (intake) and aft (thrust) surfaces due to fuel injection with and without combustion. For the geometry considered, air by itself results in an increase in the net drag force. With fuel injection and combustion the drag force increases further. Ethylene injection for several inflow conditions did not yield stable combustion, but only caused an increase in the drag force
A Model to Measure the Service Quality of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers
The study constituters a model to measure the service quality of pharmaceutical wholesalers in South Africa. Several pharmaceutical wholesalers distribute medical supplies throughout South Africa in a very regulated and competitive market where high service quality levels are anticipated. In this price-undifferentiated market, service quality can have a significant impact on the competitiveness of a pharmaceutical wholesaler. As a result, the primary objective was to develop a model to measure the service quality levels of large pharmaceutical wholesalers. The literature study compiled an industry profile of the South African pharmaceutical market, analysed service quality and then proposed an adapted SERVQUAL model to measure the service quality. A review of the literature also highlighted the general structure of the pharmaceutical industry and the regulatory framework in the supply of pharmaceutical products. The literature study also focuses specifically on the role and function of the pharmaceutical wholesaler in the supply chain. Data was collected from clients of a pharmaceutical wholesaler using to record the service expectations and perceptions on a seven-point Likert scale. Some 385 of the 4468 clients completed and returned the industry-adapted SERVQUAL survey questionnaires on the electronic platform Google Forms (signifying an 8.6% response rate). The results showed that the data were reliable with a Cronbach alpha coefficient higher than 0.70. The results also show that in five, the service dimensions gap where perceptions and expectations are measured had negative gaps. This means that the clients expected better service quality than what they received. The service dimension Assurance showed the largest gap, while Tangibility had the smallest gap. However, none of these gaps was practically significant. Further analysis using exploratory factor analysis identified three underlying service quality variables, namely Positive employee actions, Business process management and Marketing channels. These factors explained a favourable cumulative variance of 67.7%. The study finally proposes a model to measure service quality in the pharmaceutical wholesale industry
Looking for a pattern: An MEG study on the abstract mismatch negativity in musicians and nonmusicians
<p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>The mismatch negativity (MMN) is an early component of event-related potentials/fields, which can be observed in response to violations of regularities in sound sequences. The MMN can be elicited by simple feature (e.g. pitch) deviations in standard oddball paradigms as well as by violations of more complex sequential patterns. By means of magnetoencephalography (MEG) we investigated if a pattern MMN could be elicited based on global rather than local probabilities and if the underlying ability to integrate long sequences of tones is enhanced in musicians compared to nonmusicians.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>A pattern MMN was observed in response to violations of a predominant sequential pattern (AAAB) within a standard oddball tone sequence consisting of only two different tones. This pattern MMN was elicited even though the probability of pattern deviants in the sequence was as high as 0.5. Musicians showed more leftward-lateralized pattern MMN responses, which might be due to a stronger specialization of the ability to integrate information in a sequence of tones over a long time range.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>The results indicate that auditory grouping and the probability distribution of possible patterns within a sequence influence the expectations about upcoming tones, and that the MMN might also be based on global statistical knowledge instead of a local memory trace. The results also show that auditory grouping based on sequential regularities can occur at a much slower presentation rate than previously presumed, and that probability distributions of possible patterns should be taken into account even for the construction of simple oddball sequences.</p
