Two new species of stag beetles (Coleoptera: Lucanidae) from western Yunnan, China
Himaloaesalus gaoligongshanus Huang and Chen, new species (Coleoptera: Lucanidae: Aesalinae) is described from the Gaoligongshan Mts., Yunnan, China. It is the fi fth species of the genus Himaloaesalus Huang and Chen. This new species is similar to the Himalayan species Himaloaesalus himalayicus Kurosawa and H. saburoi Araya et al., from which it is distinguished. The male and female genitalia of all the known species of Himaloaesalus are illustrated. Dorcus yongreni Huang and Chen, new species (Coleoptera: Lucanidae: Lucaninae) is described from Ruili area, Yunnan, China. It belongs to the elegans group (Huang and Chen 2013). This new species is similar to the Indian species Dorcus apatani (Okuda and Maeda), new combination, originally described in Digonophorus Waterhouse. The male genitalia of both species are compared and illustrated

THE BIOMECHANICAL ANALYSIS OF ROUNDHOUSE KICK IN TAEKWONDO
The purpose of this research was to compare 360° turning roundhouse kick performed by dominant leg and non-dominant leg on kinetic and kinematic variables, and then to find the variables that correlate to the impact velocity. Nine elite taekwondo athletes were recruited. The data were collected with two Redlake cameras (125 Hz) and two Kistler force plates (1250 Hz). The difference between maximal height and beginning of body CM, max velocity of toe/ankle, impact velocity of toe, maximal vertical force of front leg, vertical/horizontal impulse of front leg, were found to be significantly different between dominant and non-dominant leg; and the difference between maximal height and impact of body CM, max velocity of toe/ankle, maximal vertical force of back leg were found to be significantly correlated with the impact velocity
FFTPL: An Analytic Placement Algorithm Using Fast Fourier Transform for Density Equalization
We propose a flat nonlinear placement algorithm FFTPL using fast Fourier
transform for density equalization. The placement instance is modeled as an
electrostatic system with the analogy of density cost to the potential energy.
A well-defined Poisson's equation is proposed for gradient and cost
computation. Our placer outperforms state-of-the-art placers with better
solution quality and efficiency
Case Study of Internationalization Strategy of Cord Set Industry in Taiwan
The present study mainly investigated the internationalization strategy of case company in Taiwan cord set industry. The characteristics of this industry are low gross profit rate, many competitors, and high customer overlap. Thus, the companies need to have considerable economies of scale and productivity in order to competitive in the global market. Besides, the academic research about the internationalization strategy of this traditional manufacturing industry is lack. The results of present study not only can provide the proper internationalization strategy direction of case company, but also can provide reference to other companies in Taiwan cord set industry. Results showed the internationalization courses of case company are: (1) Joint venture and sole proprietorship are the main types of case company to setup overseas subsidiaries; (2) The purpose of difference areas is different: the subsidiaries of mainland China is followed customer and the Southeast Asia is expansion growth; (3) The internationalization strategy of case company is mainly followed the international leading company and pursuit of growth in current stage; (4) The strategy of cord set industry in Taiwan should be strategic alliance and diversification of products in the future
Finding efficient frontier of process parameters for plastic injection molding
Product quality for plastic injection molding process is highly related with the settings for its process parameters. Additionally, the product quality is not simply based on a single quality index, but multiple interrelated quality indices. To find the settings for the process parameters such that the multiple quality indices can be simultaneously optimized is becoming a research issue and is now known as finding the efficient frontier of the process parameters. This study considers three quality indices in the plastic injection molding: war page, shrinkage, and volumetric shrinkage at ejection. A digital camera thin cover is taken as an investigation example to show the method of finding the efficient frontier. Solidworks and Moldflow are utilized to create the part's geometry and to simulate the injection molding process, respectively. Nine process parameters are considered in this research: injection time, injection pressure, packing time, packing pressure, cooling time, cooling temperature, mold open time, melt temperature, and mold temperature. Taguchi's orthogonal array L27 is applied to run the experiments, and analysis of variance is then used to find the significant process factors with the significant level 0.05. In the example case, four process factors are found significant. The four significant factors are further used to generate 34 experiments by complete experimental design. Each of the experiments is run in Moldflow. The collected experimental data with three quality indices and four process factors are further used to generate three multiple regression equations for the three quality indices, respectively. Then, the three multiple regression equations are applied to generate 1,225 theoretical datasets. Finally, data envelopment analysis is adopted to find the efficient frontier of the 1,225 theoretical datasets. The found datasets on the efficient frontier are with the optimal quality. The process parameters of the efficient frontier are further validated by Moldflow. This study demonstrates that the developed procedure has proved a useful optimization procedure that can be applied in practice to the injection molding process
