    Effectiveness of compression of myometrium and occlusion of uterine artery by COMOC-MG suture in management of atonic postpartum hemorrhage

    Background: Postpartum haemorrhage (PPH) remains a significant cause of maternal morbidity and mortality globally, with uterine atony being a primary etiological factor. This prospective interventional study aimed to assess the effectiveness of the compression of myometrium and occlusion of uterine artery by COMOC-MG suture technique in managing atonic PPH. Methods: A prospective study was conducted at GK general hospital, Bhuj, Gujarat, from December 2020 to July 2022. The study enrolled 100 pregnant women without identified risk factors undergoing complicated caesarean or vaginal deliveries. The COMOC-MG suture technique was employed for the study group, while the control group received standard atonic PPH management. Outcomes included success rates, blood transfusion needs, complications, and mortality. Results: The study group (n=50) demonstrated comparable demographic characteristics to the control group. Notably, the COMOC-MG group exhibited higher success rates in normal (100%) and cesarean deliveries (95.3%) compared to the control group (72.7% and 60.7%, respectively). Lower blood transfusion needs (34% vs. 48%) and fewer complications were observed in the COMOC-MG group. Hemoglobin (Hb) levels on post-partum day 1 showed no significant difference. Conclusions: The study suggests that COMOC-MG suture technique is effective in managing atonic PPH, showing superior success rates and potentially reducing blood transfusion needs. While further research, including larger trials, is warranted, these findings underscore promise of COMOC-MG as an innovative intervention in obstetric care, offering potential benefits in maternal outcomes. The observed safety profile supports its consideration in clinical practice

    An important facet of traditional retrieval models is that they retrieve images and videos and consider their content and context reliable. Nevertheless, this consideration is no longer valid since they can be faked for many reasons and at different degrees thanks to powerful multimedia manipulation software. Our goal is to investigate new ways detecting possible fake in social network platforms. In this paper, we propose an approach that assets identification faked images by combining standard content-based image retrieval (CBIR) techniques and watermarking. We have prepared the wartermarked image database of all images using LSB based watermarking. Using gabor features and trained KNN, user is able to retrieve the matching query image. The retrieved image is authenticated by extracting the watermark and matching it again with the test image

    The development of information technology and network technology is increasing rapidly. In network technology, multimedia communication applications are used in various formats such as text, image, audio and video. These formats are spreading very fast over the internet without any security and they can be easily copied by anyone without any prior protection and their feature can be easily copied. Nowadays the copyright infringement and piracy become very serious problem. Because of this problem, watermarking technology is used to protect the color image. In a recent year, several watermarking techniques are available such as spatial watermarking technique and frequency based watermarking technique. Frequency watermarking technique is used to differentiate the transformation of the wave and the discrete cosine transformation but transform watermarking techniques cannot provide adequate protection of image or data. This provides a weak answer to the problem of geometrical attack such as noise attack, rotation attack and translation attack. Therefore the use of spatial watermarking technique is recommended through the use of least significant bits, patch work and coding to reduce the problem of geometrical attack. This technique is comparatively simple. It can survive simple operations such as cutting and adding noise. In this document, we propose the watermark scheme based on spatial domain for color images. This scheme uses the Sobel and Canny edge detection methods to determine border information of the Luminance and chrominance components of the color image

    Marketing of sweet jelly seeds of palmyra fruit: A study covering the tribal region of South Gujarat, India

    Palmyra is a naturally occurring vegetation in Gujarat’s southern region, spread randomly overall soil and land types. The major produce utilized from palmyra palm for a livelihood by the tribal community, contributing considerably to their income, is through sales of the immature soft jelly seed nuts of the fruit called “galeli”. The present investigation was carried out to study the marketing cost, margin, and price spread in galeli marketing. Primary data for the period initiating from 2015-16 to 2017-18 were pooled from 50 palmyra palm growers selected randomly representing five tribal villages of Mahua taluka of Surat district in the South Gujarat region. Two marketing channels viz., Channel-I: producer-consumer and Channel-II: producer - retailer - consumer were observed, and the marketing cost incurred on galeli marketing in these channels was worked out, which was `51.64 and 33.94 per hundred galeli, respectively. The highest producer’s share in consumer’s rupee was worked out in channel-I. The study showed that the major constraint faced by 78 per cent of the palmyra palm growers in the marketing of galeli was the poor functioning of the climber equipment and non-remunerative prices for galeli in the local market

    Cognitive radio is a promising approach to make efficient use of spectrum by rapidly adapting the changes in wireless environment. In such networks, nodes are expected to be aware of their environment and must be able to learn from the outcomes of past decisions. Game theory which comprise of analytical tools designed to study interactive decision-making processes can be applied effectively to solve some of such complex problems.     BENEFICIAL KINETIC ADAPTATIONS AFTER ENDURANCE TRAINING

    Endurance training produces adaptations in running kinetics, although it does not produce changes in kinematics. We performed a prospective study of 23 runners who joined established marathon training teams. Each was tested in their first month of training and again two weeks prior to their marathon. The approximate time between tests was three months. Four peak ground reaction forces were reduced significantly after the training: lateral (15.4%), acceleration (7.10%), vertical (2.1%) and the normalized resultant (2.1%). Kinetic variables associated with iliotibial band injuries and anterior knee pain also had significant reductions. Peak hip adduction moments were reduced by 6.0%, peak patellofemoral contact force was reduced by 7.6%
