    This thesis carries out an analysis of deforestation in the Boquerón Tolima village caused by different community practices, but especially by that generated by the work of the Bogotá Girardot third lane project at kilometer 15 Bogotá Melgar. Likewise, it emphasizes the need to have a pedagogical strategy as a means to achieve the objectives of promoting environmental values ​​in elementary students at the IE Panamericana of Icononzo Tolima to largely mitigate this environmental problem. In the first chapter the problem arises, the general objective and the specific objectives of this thesis are established, as well as the justification, scope and limits of it. The second chapter refers to the theoretical framework and the importance of the ABP strategy to achieve training in environmental values ​​and thus avoid deforestation. In the third chapter, the methods used to diagnose and determine what pedagogical strategies can be used to promote environmental values ​​on deforestation in the Pan-American Educational Institution are presented. And also a method to evaluate the pedagogical strategy to assess the impact it had on the students and if it aroused in them environmental values ​​in the deforestation processes. The implemented strategies are enunciated. The research approach is qualitative, the scope is descriptive and the design used was participation-action. The sample has a population of approximately 30 students.at the primary level of the Pan-American Educational Institution, located in the village of Boquerón, located in the municipality of Icononzo in the department of Tolima. The technique that was used was that of the interview and the instrument was an interview script to determine the first to make a diagnosis in relation to the environmental knowledge that the students have, and a final interview script, in order to evaluate the impact of the pedagogical strategy to be executed, once implemented it was possible to improve the knowledge on the part of the students under study.Esta investigación titulada Estrategia pedagógica para promover valores ambientales frente a la deforestación en estudiantes de primaria en la I.E Panamericana de Icononzo Tolima, tiene como propósito general de la investigación, mitigar la deforestación en la vereda de Boquerón Tolima  provocada por diferentes prácticas de la comunidad, pero especialmente  la generada por el proyecto de  la obra del tercer carril Bogotá Girardot  en el kilómetro 15 Bogotá Melgar. El enfoque de la investigación es cualitativo, el alcance es  descriptivo y el diseño utilizado fue el de participación acción, la muestra cuenta con una población aproximada de 30 estudiantes  a nivel primaria de la Institución Educativa Panamericana, ubicada en la vereda Boquerón, situada en el municipio de Icononzo departamento del Tolima. La técnica que se utilizó fue la de la entrevista y el instrumento un guion de entrevista el primero para realizar un diagnóstico con relación a los conocimientos ambientales que tienen los estudiantes, y un guion de entrevista final, para evaluar el impacto de la estrategia pedagógica a ejecutar, una vez implementada se logró mejorar el conocimiento y practicas por parte de los estudiantes objeto de estudio
