AMELOBLASTOMA NA INFÂNCIA: ENFOQUE CIRÚRGICO, SEQUELAS OROMIOFUNCIONAIS E REPERCUSSÕES PSICOSSOCIAIS NUM RELATO DE CASO

Ameloblastoma is a benign odontogenic tumor that is locally infiltrative in bone trabeculae and it affects more individuals in the adult phase. The surgical approach, based on clinical, radiographic and histopathological characteristics, usually consists of complete removal of the lesion. And when this neoplasm is diagnosed in childhood? The expansive nature of this pathology would have what oromiofunctional disorders throughout the child's life? What about the psychosocial behavior? These questions are discussed here through the presentation of a clinical case of a 10 years and 10 months old patient with ameloblastoma addressing the surgical, oromiofunctional and psychological outcomes of the child.O ameloblastoma é um tumor odontogênico benigno, localmente infiltrativo nas trabéculas ósseas e com acometimento maior na fase adulta. A abordagem cirúrgica, baseada nas características clínicas, radiográficas e histopatológicas, geralmente consiste na erradicação da lesão. Entretanto, e quando esta neoplasia é diagnosticada na infância? Frente ao comportamento agressivo desta patologia, quais seriam as sequelas oromiofuncionais ao longo da vida da criança? E quanto às repercussões psicossociais? Tais questões são aqui debatidas por meio da apresentação de um caso clínico de uma paciente de 10 anos e 10 meses de idade diagnosticada com ameloblastoma, com enfoque no tratamento cirúrgico e prognóstico desta lesão, bem como no acompanhamento funcional e psicológico da criança

Aspectos subjetivos da influencia social observados em um projeto de iniciação em voleibol

Esta pesquisa surgiu da curiosidade provinda de professores que acreditam que não apenas transmitem informações e sim que podem formar jovens para transformarem sua realidade, e assim, conseqüentemente, da sociedade em que está inserido. O presente estudo teve por objetivo retratar o quanto o ensino de um esporte pode educar, enfatizando a inclusão que é o valor moral que mais se mostra defasado atualmente, pois a oportunidade dc vivência de uma modalidade esportiva tem sido concentrada em pessoas com maiores habilidades e capacidades para a prática. A pesquisa foi realizada em um Projeto de Iniciação ao Voleibol, na região metropolitana de Campinas, que comporta crianças de 7 a 14 anos, e tem como preocupação, além do ensino do esporte, ampliar os conhecimentos dos jovens quanto ao que fazer para aprenderem a conviver melhor em sociedade e visando identificar os resultados parciais do Projeto, foi elaborada a pesquisa utilizando a metodologia de Análise de Conteúdo aplicando questionários para os jovens nascidos em 1989 e 1990 e entrevistas com os pais, que focavam avaliar qualitativamente se através de uma modalidade esportiva podemos trabalhar valores importantes para o crescimento como cidadão e se os praticantes conseguem mudar sua linguagem refletindo o que os professores são comprometidos a passar. Apesar de obtermos respostas positivas, quanto à influência social do Projeto aos praticantes, enfatizamos a subjetividade desta pesquisa, pois nunca poderemos afirmar o quanto este ambiente causa a consciência sobre a importância da inclusão ou de qualquer outro valor moral, pois os indivíduos são pertencentes a uma sociedade, convivem com a escola, a família, os amigos, cursos e escolinhas de esporte, podendo assim afirmar que houve mudança de comportamentos, mas, não que o promissor foi a inserção na iniciação esportiva, no caso o Voleibol.This research has appeared from the curiosity of some teachers who believe that they not only transmit information, but also form young people to transform their reality and, consequently, the reality of the society where they are inserted. The objective of the present study is to show how much the teaching of a sport can educate a person, emphasizing the inclusion, which is the moral value that, nowadays, reveals itself the most unbalanced one, since the opportunities of the experience of a sport modality has been directed to people with stronger abilities and capacities. The research was accomplished in a Volleyball Initiation Project, located in the metropolitan region of Campinas, which works with children from 7 to 14 years old. The biggest preoccupation, beyond teaching the sport, is to extend the knowledge of the youth, teaching them how to live in a better way with the society. Trying to identify the partial results of the Project, we elaborated a research based in the methodology of the "Contents Analysis", applying questionnaires for the students born in 1989 and 1990 and interviews with the parents, focusing to evaluate qualitatively if, through a sportive modality, people can work important values for the growth as citizens and, if the individual can change its language reflecting what the teachers are compromised to pass. Although getting positive answers about the social influence of the Project in the students, we emphasize the subjectivity of this research, because we will never be able to affirm how much this ambient causes the conscience about the importance of the inclusion or any other moral value, because the individuals are living in a society, coexisting with the school, the family, the friends, the courses and the schools of sports, being possible to affirm that the change in the behavior occurred, but not that the responsible for this was the insertion in the sportive initiation, in this case, the Volleyball
