Community economic empowerment is an important approach to realize a balanced, developing and just economic structure, to realize a successful economic empowerment, community business capacity must become strong and independent, and in sync with community’s best potential and product, in this paper is coastal community. The purpose of this study is how the main strategies and work programs that need to be taken to improve the economy of the community in Merauke Regency by optimally utilizing coastal community resources and knowing the inhibiting and supporting factors of empowerment. Qualitative research method with a SWOT analysis tool with a focus on data sources based on the results of interviews and discussions with the fisheries service and fisheries business actors. The results of the study explain that the increase in fisherman productivity has the highest weight value which is carried out by increasing the role of capital assistance and market intervention, verified by the efforts of coastal communities

The research objective is the use of social media for brand image and digital marketing to increase the content of online visitors, develop new marketing competencies, as well as increase sales in a cost-efficiency and effective.Qualitative research using data through observations, interviews and literature reviews of publications related to brand image content and digital marketing to find best practices that can be implemented in the small hotel industry. The informants consist of marketing practitioners in 3-star hotels and several additional informants in Merauke Regency. The results show that building a brand image is done by managing the Web as a source of information and public relations. Building brand awareness must present fairness to become brand in mind, creating long-term loyalty. Management of brand image and digital marketing simultaneously can use social media such What’s Up, Facebook, Twitter, blogs, Google+, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube to improve the company’s image and market products and up-selling.The tools in digital marketing management to increase sales can use Market Place (Search Engine Optimization) with several available options such as; traveloka.com, Agoda.com, tiket.com. pigipigi.com, Airbnb etc

Reduced word enumeration, complexity, and randomization

A reduced word of a permutation ww is a minimal length expression of ww as a product of simple transpositions. We examine the computational complexity, formulas and (randomized) algorithms for their enumeration. In particular, we prove that the Edelman-Greene statistic, defined by S. Billey-B. Pawlowski, is typically exponentially large. This implies a result of B. Pawlowski, that it has exponentially growing expectation. Our result is established by a formal run-time analysis of A. Lascoux-M.-P. Sch\"utzenberger's transition algorithm. The more general problem of Hecke word enumeration, and its closely related question of counting set-valued standard Young tableaux, is also investigated. The latter enumeration problem is further motivated by work on Brill-Noether varieties due to M. Chan-N. Pflueger and D. Anderson-L. Chen-N. Tarasca.Comment: 23 pages. v2: added reference to University of Washington PhD thesis of B. Pawlowski, which proves a stronger version of Theorem 1.

The focus of this research lies in community empowerment based on culture and local communities as well as sustainable ecotourism, which is directed at a complicated mechanism of empowerment elements, local culture that is thick in ecotourism to get added value for the novelty of ecotourism research. The object of research is Wasur National Park (WNP), Papua, Indonesia. Qualitative methods have been used to obtain accurate data and information, i.e., in-depth interviews with indigenous people to find out the benefits or functions of their culture that can be developed in ecotourism, interviews with leaders and staff of WNP and the Department of Culture and Tourism to find out the potential and processes empowerment and existing tourism potential. As a result, from the perspective of empowerment, local people will easily follow the empowerment process provided that they use methods that are culturally appropriate which is from the viewpoints from the culture of sasi, totem and sacred places. The culture adopted by the community is in accordance with the principles of ecotourism that supports sustainability, environmental conservation, protection of environmental resources and increases economic value. However, it is recommended to carry out modified socialization in accordance with the current conditions. Hence, tourists who visit WNP do not become afraid of the very rigid sanctions which are applied to them who violate the existing cultural and environmental customs. Moreover, to get added economic value in the tourism business within WNP, it is necessary to explore the potential of cultural wealth, natural and biological wealth so that it becomes the main attraction in carrying out the economic empowerment of local communities in the field of ecotourism

Design led innovation: shifting from smart follower to digital strategy leader in the Australian airport sector

This paper presents and discusses organisational barriers and opportunities arising from the dissemination of design led innovation within a leading Australian airport corporation. This research is part of a greater action research program which aims to integrate design as a strategic capability through design led innovation within Australian businesses. Findings reveal that there is an opportunity to employ the theoretical framework and tools of design led innovation in practice to build collaborative idea generation by involving customers and stakeholders within the proposal of new to world propositions. The iterative gathering of deep customer insights also provided an opportunity to leverage a greater understanding of stakeholders and customers in strengthening continuing business partnerships through co-design. Challenges to the design led approach include resistance to the exploratory nature of gathering deep customer insights, the testing of long held assumptions and market data, and the disruption of an organisational mindset geared toward risk aversion instilled within the aviation industry. The implication from these findings is that design led innovation can provide the critical platform to allow for a business to grow and sustain internal design capabilities necessary to challenge prevailing assumptions about how its business model operates to deliver value to customers and stakeholders alike. The platform of design led innovation also provides an avenue to support a cultural transformation towards anticipating future needs necessary for establishing a position of leadership within the broader economic environment

Aquatic Microbial Ecology, 86, (2021): 29–46, https://doi.org/10.3354/ame01955.Phosphorus (P) limits primary production in regions of the surface ocean, and many plankton species exhibit specific physiological responses to P deficiency. The metabolic response of Micromonas pusilla, an ecologically relevant marine photoautotroph, to P deficiency was investigated using metabolomics and comparative genomics. The concentrations of some intracellular metabolites were elevated in the P-deficient cells (e.g. xanthine, inosine), and genes involved in the associated metabolic pathways shared a predicted conserved amino acid motif in the non-coding regions of each gene. The presence of the conserved motif suggests that these genes may be co-regulated, and the motif may constitute a regulatory element for binding a transcription factor, specifically that of Psr1 (phosphate starvation response). A putative phosphate starvation response gene ( psr1-like) was identified in M. pusilla with homology to well characterized psr1/ phr1 genes in algae and plants, respectively. This gene appears to be present and expressed in other marine algal taxa (e.g. Emiliania huxleyi) in field sites that are chronically P limited. Results from the present study have implications for understanding phytoplankton taxon-specific roles in mediating P cycling in the ocean. This research was funded by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation through Grant GBMF3304 to E.B.K., and it was partially supported by a grant from the Simons Foundation (Award ID 509034 to E.B.K.)
