The accreditation of work experience introduces a rift between training and qualification. The fact that qualification can be acquired without undergoing training raises the sensitive issue of how experience should be assessed. As part of the trend towards conceptualizing actions, our study focuses on acquiring a better understanding of the experience of computer specialists applying for work experience accreditation by asking them to perform a specific modelling task. Our analysis involved exposing the conceptual structure of the situation, i.e. all the dimensions of the task that should be considered in order for the action to be effective. This structure is rooted in the following three aspects: (1) Mastery of a language, (2) Use of that language in a process of more or less extensive conceptualization, (3) Adjusting the conceptualization according to whether it is aimed chiefly at a colleague, a user or a researcher. Using this conceptual position, we have drawn six profiles of computer specialists using different operative models
