Cartografias participativas e abordagens em saúde e ambiente

This study aimed to present a map about the environment and its relationship with health, based on the experiences and interrelations of health service workers in the city of Porto Alegre / Brazil. This proposal presents methodological alternatives for the approximation of health surveillance activities with primary health care. The participative approach of action-research was conceived as the main strategy for this study. The work served as a starting point for the evaluation and monitoring of specific situations about environmental health. Besides that, the mapping approach has the potential to establish partnerships for action in the field of health in local territorial context.Este trabalho objetiva apresentar o processo de elaboração de um mapa sobre o ambiente e sua relação com a saúde, a partir de vivências e inter-relações de trabalhadores de serviços de saúde de Porto Alegre, RS. Tal proposição surgiu da necessidade de viabilizar alternativas metodológicas de aproximação das atividades de vigilância em saúde com a Atenção Básica, trabalho compartilhado e em rede, bem como de viabilizar leituras e vivências de interação entre saúde e ambiente presentes nos territórios. O percurso metodológico seguiu a abordagem participativa da pesquisa-ação centrada no estabelecimento de diálogos de saberes e fazeres. O trabalho serviu como ponto de partida para a avaliação e o monitoramento de situações específicas de interesse à saúde ambiental. Contudo, sua maior contribuição ocorreu pela potencialidade de estabelecer parcerias de ações no campo da saúde e de suas transversalidades locais. Mais que um resultado ou uma síntese de dados, esta proposta de mapeamento constituiu-se como um dispositivo de valorização e fortalecimento das identidades territoriais, de visibilidade de conflitos ambientais, de caráter de informação e mobilização, e de articulação com dados oficiais

Descontinuidade de práticas em saúde ambiental: percepção de profissionais de município do Sul do Brasil

Esta pesquisa consistiu em investigar como o uso dos saberes profissionais pode ser empregado como estratégia conceitual para compreender o desmonte das políticas de saúde e ambiente. O objetivo foi examinar as condições e limitações percebidas por profissionais de vigilância em saúde envolvidos diretamente com questões ambientais e como isso pode afetar seus conhecimentos e práticas profissionais. Tratou-se de pesquisa com abordagem qualitativa e de natureza empírica, realizada por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas com uma equipe de vigilância em saúde ambiental ligada a órgão público de um município do Sul do Brasil. A análise de dados foi feita por codificação e categorização temáticas. Os entrevistados citaram diversas dificuldades recentes de atuação que foram articuladas ao conceito de saberes profissionais. Dessa forma, a pesquisa concluiu que a redução do número de profissionais e outras dificuldades de equipes de saúde ambiental representam impactos negativos para a continuidade do trabalho e preservação dos saberes profissionais acumulados ao longo dos anos

Mapeamento ambiental integrado: município de Porto Alegre, RS

The study of the environment requires the search for tools to integrate the various elements of physical, chemical and biological with the social and economic aspects of places. The environmental problems are increasingly complex and therefore cannot be analyzed separately from the forces that produce them. From this perspective, this article aims to indicate the main aspects from the integrated mapping of environmental data related to the municipality of Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil. The methodology for preparing the map and other elements in the proposal was based on the mapping of the environmental working group "Environment Mapping and its dynamics," created by the International Geographical Union (IGU) and chaired by André Journaux, University of Caen, France, between 1976 and 1984. This proposal came up with the ultimate goal of a broad public awareness about the environmental situation of a given area, as well as support decision making through integrated planning, which took into account the natural and essential elements of the environment (soil, water and air) and human action (past and present). In the case of Porto Alegre, were compiled from various sources the data on the topography, the hydrology, climatic conditions, to build and cultivate spaces and green areas, besides the studies that addressed the degradation of its elements. The storage, processing, and output data were performed using application specific computational manipulation of geographic information - Geographic Information System (GIS). Besides the methodological aspect of the mapping, are also presented spatially, some dynamics observed from the integration of environmental data, particularly with respect to the major problems of environmental degradation occurring in the city, the recent characterization of urban expansion and the importance of green areas

Conhecendo e construindo a saúde pelo ambiente: uma proposta de leitura participativa e territorializada em saúde ambiental

In Brazil, even if still in its first steps, the coming together of Environmental Health Surveillance and Primary Health Care represents an important strategy in searching for comprehensive health care, since it takes, as an organizational basis, the recognition of territories from the local dimension of daily life. This study aimed to develop and implement a reading strategy on the relationship between health and environment, city of Porto Alegre / Brazil, in order to enable partnerships with / between workers from the Environmental Health Surveillance Team and Health Communitary Agents from Family Health Strategies. Reading on the relationship between health and environment, this proposal integrates historical, spatial and collective situations, starting from process and mapping ideas which are dynamic and never finished. The cartography gesture was thus established as the main tool for this proposal of reading, reaching not only physical space, but also identities, practices and experiences. The participative approach of action-research and from observant participation was conceived as the main strategy for this study. The proposed reading on the relationship between health and environment in the study area allowed served as a starting point for the evaluation and monitoring of specific situations of interest to Environmental Health
