    Get PDF
The analysis of economic efficiency is the main method of economic systems analysis. This concept is the most important qualitative indicator of the economic development, essential factor in accelerating the economic growth and is also one of the criteria for scientific substantiation of decisions. Applied in the milk production domain, represents the obtaining of maximum quantity of milk per animal, with minimal expenditure of manpower and materials. Regarding determining the economic efficiency of goat milk production, the most used indicators are: total physical production, average production, value of total production (total revenue), production costs, material costs, cost per unit, profit, rate of return, breakeven point etc. The paper presents the calculation method of indicators and their average values for 2014

Elastic Buckling Behaviour of Aerospace CHS Gusseted “T” Connections

    Get PDF
Lightweight tubular structures are widely used in aerospace structures. Lattice beams are simple or gusset reinforced connections. As the gusset design offers a lot of solutions in aerospace, this paper focuses on the assessment of the elastic buckling of the most frequently used welded gussets of “T” connections. A FEM method was validated by analytic equations of a triangular gusset, and based on the results, conclusions and design recommendations are made

The role of ultrasonography-guided biopsy in the diagnosis of prostate cancerCancerul de prostată este considerat una dintre cele mai frecvente neoplazii depistate la bărbați.

THE IMPORTANCE OF ANCESTRAL GREY STEPPE BREED IN ROMANIA FOR ENSURING BIODIVERSITY CATTLE IN SOUTH EAST EUROPE

    Get PDF
Grey Steppe breed from Romania belongs to the group of Podolia cattle breeds in Europe. These cattle originate from the wild ancestor Bos taurus primigenius, which disappeared in the XVI th century. There are five ecotypes belonging to Grey Steppe breed adapted to the natural conditions of life (Moldavian ecotype, Bucşan ecotype, Transylvanian ecotype, Ialomiţean ecotype and Dobrogean ecotype). This breed has had a major decline in the last two centuries, from 2.607.594 heads in 1860 years to less than 500 heads at present. This decrease of the herd of cattle Grey Steppe breed was caused by the agricultural policy of the country with an orientation towards intensive agriculture, where they developed specialized breeds for milk and meat. This breed also participated in cross breeding of absorption for forming new breeds. Considering milk production, dairy cows made an average production of 2300 kg milk per normal lactation expressed in mature equivalent, with 4.36% fat and 3.52% protein. There are also cows of this breed which can give 4000-4500 kg milk per normal lactation growth in very good conditions.Regarding meat production from Grey Steppe breed the daily growth increments were 600-800 gr. with a 53-55% killing out percentage at slaughter. This breed can be grown in conditions of extensive or ecologic agriculture, because it has not special needs for feeding and sheltering conditions and disease resistance is high

Temperature Effects on Damage Mechanisms of Hybrid Metal – Composite Bolted Joints Using SHM Testing Method

This paper presents the quasi-static thermo-mechanical loading effects on the progressive damage mechanisms and failure modes of the single-bolt, single-shear, hybrid metal-composite, bolted joints in aerospace applications. A three-dimensional finite element method (FEM) technique was used to model the countersunk head bolted joint in details, including geometric and frictional based contact full nonlinearities and using commercial software PATRAN as pre/post-processor. The progressive damage analysis (PDA) in laminated (CFRP/ vinyl ester epoxy) composite material including nonlinear shear behavior, Hashin-type failure criteria and strain-based continuous degradation rules for different values of temperatures was made using SOL 400 NASTRAN solver. In order to validate the numerical results and close investigation of the fracture mechanisms for metal-composite bolted joints by determining ultimate failure loads, experiments were conducted in temperature controlled chamber using SHM (Structural Health Monitoring) technique. The results show that the thermal effects are not negligible on failure mechanism in hybrid aluminum-CFRP bolted joints having strong different thermal expansion coefficients. The complex 3D FEM model using advanced linear continuum solid-shell elements proved computational efficiency and ability to accurately predict the various failure modes as bearing and shear-shear out, including the temperature effects on the failure propagation and damage mechanism of hybrid metal-composite bolted joints

Barley as a cereal grain is very important for animal and human nutrition, being also used in food products technology for fermented or distillated beverages. It has very good nutritional properties for animals and human, being the forth ranks in cultivation and quantity production in the world. The flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (FAAS) is an analysis method for metals, but the laboratory procedure is essential for the final result. Our goal was to analysis the barley content from Banat area with FAAS method using direct determination from the solution after digestion and using a diluted solution. The direct determination for copper content in barley (in mg/Kg, presented as mean and SD) was 4.146±0.205; iron content was 25.657±0.583; manganese determination was 10.391±0.192 and zinc content was 17.911±0.565. The quantity of metals (in mg/Kg, presented as mean and SD) from diluted (5x) samples for copper was 4.463±0.403; for iron was 26.821±1.083; for manganese was 11.136±0.444; for zinc was 18.731±0.665. Comparative evaluation of the mineral content for copper, iron, manganese and zinc showed that the quantitative analysis of five times diluted samples present higher values for all analyzed minerals comparative with direct determination

Low frequency low intensity pulse electromagnetic filed in vivo influence on blood cells permeability in rat

The in vivo influence of a low frequency and intensity (50 Hz, 2.7 mT) pulse electromagnetic field (PEMF) applied continuously and intermittently, 30 min for a period of 20 days, on the permeability of blood cells in rats was studied. For this aim, concentrations of Na+, K+ and Ca2+ in plasma (extracellular compartment) and blood cells (intracellular compartment) after their separation by centrifugation of blood collected from treated animals were determined by the flame photometry method. PEMF induced a decrease of the extracellular Na+ concentration and an increase of the intracellular one, causing a reduction in the ratio Na+e/Na+i value as compared with the control, reflecting the increase of passive membrane permeability to this ion. Also, PEMF induce the reduction of extracellular K+ level and increase the intracellular K+ level and a consequent K+e/K+i ratio reducing, which indicates an increase in transmembrane K+ active transport, correlated with dynamic of Na+,K+-ATPase activity. PEMF effect on Ca2+ is more diverse, manifesting a general trend of increasing of its intracellular concentration. These findings also indicate a possible increase in the membrane resting potenti
