Work Intellectual Disability Environement: applicazione di un modelloe evidence-based all’accompagnamento al lavoro. Risultati intermedi.

Over the last few decades, employment for persons with disabilities has been one of the most discussedtopics within the radical change in the emerging disability paradigm. The article describesthe situation from the point of view of statistical data and contemporary scientific debate. Themain evidence-based methodologies for the work placement of persons with disabilities are thensystematized, focusing primarily on the description of the WIDE-Work Intellectual Disability Environmentmethod, developed by the Centre for the Rights and Independent Living of the Universityof Turin. Some pilot data on this method are reported, examining especially the companies' pointof view and the way the experimental methodology was put into practice

This article offers a literature review and some preliminary thoughts on an ongoing research project in the field of education. The focus is on the link between associations and the spreading of new models that might offer support to the life-plan of people with disabilities. The core ideas are those of a model of rights, as well as capability in Sen’s terms—i.e. the capability of people in fragile and exposed conditions.Questo articolo contiene la revisione della letteratura e le riflessioni preliminari rispetto ad un progetto di ricerca. Il tema è la connessione tra associazioni e promozione di nuovi modelli di sostegno al progetto di vita delle persone con disabilità. Le idee chiave sono il modello dei diritti e la capacitazione, in senso seniano, delle persone in condizioni di fragilità
