    A integração de dados agrícolas tem sido um grande desafio no desenvolvimento de aplicações para dar suporte à tomada de decisão no agronegócio. Entretanto esses dados estão dispersos em planilhas, relatórios técnicos, dissertações de mestrado, teses de doutorado, livros, boletins de pesquisa, além de meios magnéticos. Como não estão organizadas em um banco de dados único, as informações existentes não podem ser facilmente recuperadas e repassadas aos setores interessados.     A few properties of the nonminimal vector interactions in the Duffin-Kemmer-Petiau theory are revised. In particular, it is shown that the space component of the nonminimal vector interaction plays a peremptory role for confining bosons whereas its time component contributes to the leakage. Scattering in a square step potential with proper boundary conditions is used to show that Klein's paradox does not manifest in the case of a nonminimal vector coupling

    The Hesse potential is constructed for a class of four-dimensional N=2 supersymmetric effective actions with S- and T-duality by performing the relevant Legendre transform by iteration. It is a function of fields that transform under duality according to an arithmetic subgroup of the classical dualities reflecting the monodromies of the underlying string compactification. These transformations are not subject to corrections, unlike the transformations of the fields that appear in the effective action which are affected by the presence of higher-derivative couplings. The class of actions that are considered includes those of the FHSV and the STU model. We also consider heterotic N=4 supersymmetric compactifications. The Hesse potential, which is equal to the free energy function for BPS black holes, is manifestly duality invariant. Generically it can be expanded in terms of powers of the modulus that represents the inverse topological string coupling constant, gsg_s, and its complex conjugate. The terms depending holomorphically on gsg_s are expected to correspond to the topological string partition function and this expectation is explicitly verified in two cases. Terms proportional to mixed powers of gsg_s and gˉs\bar g_s are in principle present.Comment: 28 pages, LaTeX, added comment

    The Duffin-Kemmer-Petiau formalism with vector and scalar potentials is used to point out a few misconceptions diffused in the literature. It is explicitly shown that the scalar coupling makes the DKP formalism not equivalent to the Klein-Gordon formalism or to the Proca formalism, and that the spin-1 sector of the DKP theory looks formally like the spin-0 sector. With proper boundary conditions, scattering of massive bosons in an arbitrary mixed vector-scalar square step potential is explored in a simple way and effects due to the scalar coupling on the particle-antiparticle production and localization of bosons are analyzed in some detail

    Nos últimos anos observou-se um crescimento, sem precedentes, de aplicações, sistemas e repositórios de informações que coexistem dentro das instituições de pesquisa agropecuária. Como conseqüência, a integração de dados agrícolas tem sido um grande desafio no desenvolvimento de aplicações para dar suporte à tomada de decisão no agronegócio. Para abordar este problema, este artigo apresenta uma solução, baseada em serviços Web, para integração de dados de clima e de solos. A solução é simples, do ponto de vista de implementação, e é independente da plataforma computacional. A partir da integração de dados de clima e de solos, serão desenvolvidas aplicações em diversas áreas do agronegócio, como, por exemplo, zoneamento agrícola, estimativa da produtividade de culturas, planejamento agrícola, recomendação de adubação de culturas, entre outras.SBIAgro 2009

    An effective singular oscillator for Duffin-Kemmer-Petiau particles with a nonminimal vector coupling: a two-fold degeneracy

    Scalar and vector bosons in the background of one-dimensional nonminimal vector linear plus inversely linear potentials are explored in a unified way in the context of the Duffin-Kemmer-Petiau theory. The problem is mapped into a Sturm-Liouville problem with an effective singular oscillator. With boundary conditions emerging from the problem, exact bound-state solutions in the spin-0 sector are found in closed form and it is shown that the spectrum exhibits degeneracy. It is shown that, depending on the potential parameters, there may or may not exist bound-state solutions in the spin-1 sector.Comment: 1 figure. arXiv admin note: substantial text overlap with arXiv:1009.159
