Spin polarisabilities of the nucleon at NLO in the chiral expansion

    Get PDF
We present a calculation of the fourth-order (NLO) contribution to spin-dependent Compton scattering in heavy-baryon chiral perturbation theory, and we give results for the four spin polarisabilities. No low-energy constants, except for the anomalous magnetic moments of the nucleon, enter at this order. For forward scattering the fourth-order piece of the spin polarisability of the proton turns out to be almost twice the size of the leading piece, with the opposite sign. This leads to the conclusion that no prediction can currently be made for this quantity. For backward scattering the fourth-order contribution is much smaller than the third-order piece which is dominated by the anomalous scattering, and so cannot explain the discrepancy between the CPT result and the current best experimental determination.Comment: 8 pages, 2 figures, revtex. Design of Digital Frequency Synthesizer for 5G SDR Systems

    Get PDF
The previous frequency synthesizer techniques for scalable SDR are not compatible with high end applications due to its complex computations and the intolerance over increased path interference rate which leads to an unsatisfied performance with improved user rate in real time environment. Designing an efficient frequency synthesizer framework in the SDR system is essential for 5G wireless communication systems with improved Quality of service (QoS). Consequently, this research has been performed based on the merits of fully digitalized frequency synthesizer and its explosion in wide range of frequency band generations. In this paper hardware optimized reconfigurable digital base band processing and frequency synthesizer model is proposed without making any design complexity trade-off to deal with the multiple standards. Here fully digitalized frequency synthesizer is introduced using simplified delay units to reduce the design complexity. Experimental results and comparative analyzes are carried out to validate the performance metrics and exhaustive test bench simulation is also carried out to verify the functionality

A New Method of User Association in Wireless Mesh Networks

    Get PDF
The IEEE 802.11 based wireless mesh networks (WMNs) are becoming the promising technology to provide last-mile broadband Internet access to the users. In order to access the Internet through the pre-deployed WMN, the user has to associate with one of the access points (APs) present in the network. In WMN, it is very common that the user device can have multiple APs in its vicinity. Since the user performance majorly depends on the associated AP, how to select the best AP is always remaining as a challenging research problem in WMN. The traditional method of AP selection is based on received signal strength (RSS) and it is proven inefficient in the literature as the method does not consider AP load, channel conditions, etc. This paper proposes a new method of user association in WMN such that the user selects the AP based on achievable end-to-end throughput measured in the presence of other interfering APs. The proposed association metric is independent of routing protocol and routing metric used in WMN. The simulation results show that our method outperforms the RSS based AP selection method in WMN

A STUDY ON THE MAGNITUDE OF HUMAN RESOURCE IN SUN AND RANBAXY MERGER

Sun Pharmaceutical is a trailblazer in Indian pharmaceutical sector, and one of the foremost competitors in the generic drug market sets its eye onRanbaxy. Sun pharmacy which was established in 1983 listed from 1994 has its upper hand in product development. Ranbaxy was incorporated in1973, and Daiichi Sankyo, a Japanese firm, got a controlling share from 2008. This amalgamation between Sun Pharmacy and Ranbaxy would get profitable transaction for the former. The process of the coalition was a cloak and dagger affair until April 6, 2014. Before mergers and acquisitions, a company has to create an urgency call among the employees which will result in better understanding of the whole scenario. The aspects are about how financial motives and non-financial motives play a major role in mergers. This case deals with the human resource issues and complexities faced by the two players in the same business. Keywords: Merger, Acquisition, Change management, Human resource, Employee engagement, Corporate strategy

Wavelet based Fault Detection Method for Ungrounded Power System with Balanced and Unbalanced load

    Get PDF
Modern spectral and harmonic analysis is based on Fourier transforms. However, these techniques are less efficient in tracking the signal dynamics for transient disturbances. Consequently, the wavelet transform has been introduced as an adaptable technique for non-stationary signal analysis. Although the application of wavelets in the area of power system engineering is still relatively new, it is evolving very rapidly. In this paper wavelet based method for detection of faults in an ungrounded integrated power system (IPS) of Navy ships is proposed. However the “Virtual ground” exists between the modules of IPS and ship hull, because of insulation capacitance of the cable and the EMI filters between the modules of the IPS. The fault current is very low for a single line to ground fault in this ungrounded system allowing continuous operation but also making fault detection difficult. The proposed method uses wavelets for detection of ground fault in ungrounded power system. The ground fault conditions are simulated using MATLAB-SIMULINK and fault detection implemented with Daubechies wavelets. It is shown that transient ground faults can be detected by wavelet analysis of the line to line voltages when ship load is balanced and unbalanced. Verification of the proposed method has been done by simulating fault between a line and ship hull and analyzing the results.DOI:http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/ijece.v1i1.5
