    Blackbody radiation in \kappa-Minkowski spacetime

We have computed the black body radiation spectra in κ\kappa-Minkowski space-time, using the quantum mechanical picture of massless scalar particles as well as effective quantum field theory picture. The black body radiation depends on how the field theory (and thus how the κ\kappa-Poincar\'e algebra) handles the ordering effect of the noncommutative space-time. In addition, there exists a natural momentum cut-off of the order κ\kappa, beyond which a new real mode takes its shape from a complex mode and the old real mode flows out to be a new complex mode. However, the new high momentum real mode should not be physical since its contributions to the black-body radiation spoils the commutative limit.Comment: 22pages, No figure, some corrections, to appear in Phys. Exploring Warning Messages On Conditional Principles & Predicting Social Behavior

A wide variety of alcohol warning (or moderation) messages, as integrated communication tools, have been designed to reduce or moderate consumer attitudes toward alcohol consumption. The aim of this study is to explore the relationship between alcohol warning messages and alcohol consumption attitudes or behavior. In particular, this study investigates the effects of alcohol warning messages on consumer attitudes, subjective norms, intentions to switch alcohol consumption, and eventual behavioral change, by applying an extended Fishbein model. Further, these effects are based on types of messages examined by qualitative research, such as 1) positive or negative reinforcement warnings, 2) one-sided vs. two-sided warnings, and 3) self- vs. other-related warnings. This paper conducted both qualitative and quantitative researches. Results of quantitative researches from surveys are measured by statistical analyses using chi-square, factor, and regression analysis. The results indicate that alcohol warning messages positively affected consumer attitudes toward reduction or moderation of alcohol consumption and that different types of ads produced different results. This study provides managerial implications for alcohol warning and advertising-related policies

Irregular Conformal States and Spectral Curve: Irregular Matrix Model Approach

    No full text
We present recent developments of irregular conformal conformal states. Irregular vertex operators and their adjoint in a new formalism are used to define the irregular conformal states and their inner product instead of using the colliding limit procedure. Free field formalism can be augmented by screening operators which provide more degrees of freedom. The inner product is conveniently given as the partition function of an irregular matrix model. (Deformed) spectral curve is the loop equation of the matrix model at Nekrasov-Shatashivili limit. We present the details of analytic structure of the spectral curve for Virasoso symmetry and its extensions, W-symmetry and super-symmetry
