Interpretation of Predicative Non-Assertive Relations in Structure of Utterance in Discourse of Russian Orthodox Sermon

The categorical affiliation and semantic characteristics of propositions that do not have the status of assertions in the current utterance are considered. Such propositions are denoted by the term “pre-conservative”. It is shown that the preassertive status of propositions is determined by two main factors: the grammatical factor of precedence / following of explicit or implicit predication with respect to the moment of speech and the discourse factor of presentation in the proposition of the preassertive information reflecting religious mentality and religious ideology. The action of these factors gives rise to the phenomenon of asubjectivation. With asubjectivization, the semantic content of a linguistic expression is determined only by the properties of the described situation, and not by the locutionary activity of the subject of speech. It has been established that whole sentences, including those with non-propositional meanings, can receive the “pre-passive” status. It is shown that, in terms of some properties, the preassertive is comparable to a number of units of different articulations of the semantic-syntactic structure of an utterance, however, its specific manifestation in connection with asubjectivation proves that this is a special category in relation to explicit predication. The research was carried out on the basis of the material of the Russian Orthodox sermon. The novelty of the research consists in the characterization of the preassertive as a new syntactic relation on the axis “assertion — non-assertive component” of the utterance. Relevance is determined by the fact that the work develops a fundamentally new aspect of the study of subjectivity in language

Features of the Use of Addressed Statements in Russian Orthodox Sermon

    Get PDF
The features of the use of addressed utterances are considered from the point of view of the concept of asubjectivation, as opposed to the locuous activity of the subject of speech. Asubjectivation is defined as the presence in the semantics of the statement of the point of view of a non-assertive judgment subject, which is not perceived by the speaker’s sphere of consciousness and imposes restrictions on the meaning of the illocutionary act. The main method for identifying and describing asubjectivation in addressed utterances in a sermon is the identification of the scope and illocutionary force of the utterance. It has been proven that addressed utterances in a sermon, regardless of the speaker’s intentions, cover any communication participants, including those who turn out to be casual listeners. In addition, asubjectivation manifests itself as a requirement for the speaker to perform the illocutionary act “informative”, addressed to all participants in communication together, and at the same time — the speech act “message”, which regulates adequate interaction with the recipients of speech when using the language in the sermon. As a material, the authors considered statements built on the grammatical base of sentences with propositional (complex with additional clauses) and non-propositional meanings (impersonal with a due predicate). The relevance of the research is associated with the study of a new type of relationship in the semantic-syntactic structure of the sentence. The concept of asubjectivation allows us to formulate principles that regulate the features of referential relations in the structure of a sentence, taking into account the specifics of discourse

Adsubjectification of Speaker in Construction of Statements with Meaning of Necessity in Discourse of Russian Orthodox Preaching

    Get PDF
The article is devoted to the speaker’s adsubjectification in discourse, namely the mechanism of sentence contextualization, in which the meaning is obligatorily expressed, completely predetermined by the semantic context in the form of presuppositions that limit or exclude intentionality. The relevance of the study is due to the need to study non-intentional variants of grammatical content that contradict established ideas about the manifestations of subjectivity in language and speech. The novelty of the work lies in the establishment of non-intentional variants of the use of sentences with non-propositional meanings. The study was conducted on the material of the texts of the Russian Orthodox sermon. The use of two types of sentences with predicates of necessity is studied. An approach is used that takes into account the correlation between the semantic functions of predicatives and causators. Adsubjectivation as a predetermination of the causator by the semantic context was revealed for both varieties. It has been established that in statements with an explicit causator, the necessity of an action is always determined by situational presuppositions; in utterances with implicit causators — preparatory conditions for a speech act. At the same time, the impossibility of subjective motivation for the need for action in the discourse of preaching is noted, since this generates semantically unacceptable statements. It is shown that the mechanism of adsubjectification unambiguously determines the semantic limits of statements in a sermon, which is considered as evidence of the cognitive commonality of the implicit components of the content of statements plan and religious ideas

Nonisospectral integrable nonlinear equations with external potentials and their GBDT solutions

Auxiliary systems for matrix nonisospectral equations, including coupled NLS with external potential and KdV with variable coefficients, were introduced. Explicit solutions of nonisospectral equations were constructed using the GBDT version of the B\"acklund-Darboux transformation

International Standards of Penitentiary Activity: Impact on the Development of the Penitentiary Activity of the CIS Countries

    Get PDF
Overcrowding in prisons is a common problem that affects many countries. It is difficult to define this term because there is no single internationally accepted standard. This article presents a comparative study of international standards for the activities of doctors in penitentiary institutions as an integral part of international standards of penitentiary activity. The authors investigated the methods and the degree of their impact on the penitentiary legislation of the Russian Federation and other CIS countries. The conclusion is drawn about the positive role of such standards in improving the national penitentiary legislation in order to increase the level of medical care for prisoners

Investigation of oxidation process of mechanically activated ultrafine iron powders

    Get PDF
The oxidation of mechanically activated ultrafine iron powders was studied using X-ray powder diffraction and thermogravimetric analyzes. The powders with average particles size of 100 nm were made by the electric explosion of wire, and were subjected to mechanical activation in planetary ball mill for 15 and 40 minutes. It was shown that a certain amount of FeO phase is formed during mechanical activation of ultrafine iron powders. According to thermogravimetric analysis, the oxidation process of non-milled ultrafine iron powders is a complex process and occurs in three stages. The preliminary mechanical activation of powders considerably changes the nature of the iron powders oxidation, leads to increasing in the temperature of oxidation onset and shifts the reaction to higher temperatures. For the milled powders, the oxidation is more simple process and occurs in a single step
