Modeling of the effect of a thermoelectric magnetic force onto conducting particles immersed in the liquid metal
International audienceSimulation of a thermo-electromagnetic force which acts on a conducting particle immersed into liquid metal is performed using multi-gird multi-physics software AEQUATIO. To verify numerical solutions a model thermoelectric problem is solved using two methods. In the first one a phase function is used to indicate the phase transition whereas in the second the solid particle is described with a real frontier of a simplified shape. Numerical and analytical solutions for a model problem qualitatively agree but strong oscillations are observed in a numerical solution with a phase function. Further AEQUQTIO is applied for calculation of the velocity of a dendrite fragment observed in-situ in experiment of solidification of AlCu alloy. Numerical solution gives a good agreement with the experimental observation
Электронный компас
Разработка электронного компаса на основе датчиков: магнитометра, акселерометра и гироскопа. Данное устройство будет определять направление на северный магнитный полюс как при горизонтальном положении, так и при отклонениях от горизонтальной плоскостиDevelopment of electronic compass based on sensors: magnetometer, accelerometer and gyroscope. This device will determine the direction to the North magnetic pole both in the horizontal position and in deviations from the horizontal plan

3D Numerical Modeling for inductive processes
International audienceInductive processes are used in many industrial processes and applied to various materials within a large frequency domain from Hz to MHz. In order to analyze the performance and to optimize inductive processes we develop a dedicated software coupling integral method and finite element method. Integral method is dedicated to model electromagnetic phenomenon and finite element method is used to model heat transfer and fluid mechanic. This software is developed for 2D and 3D configurations. In the article some results are given for various inductive processes

STUDY OF HEAT TRANSFER IN A NICKEL DROPLET IN ELECTROMAGNETIC LEVITATION
International audienceUnder terrestrial conditions, the temperature behaviour of a sample in levitation may be different from that observed in microgravity. Here we present the temporal evolution of the polar and equatorial temperatures of a levitating charge of Ni, revealed numerically and experimentally for different AC current modulations. It is demonstrated that the motion of the sample during the AC current modulation should be taken into account
