Observer prediction of disclosure declaration.

Three independent and blinded researchers were unable to predict whether a related conflict of interest was present for each abstract (pā=ā0.40).</p
Observer interpretation of study favorability.

Three independent and blinded researchers assessed the favorability of the results of an abstract with respect to a designated item of interest. There was no association with these ratings and whether a related conflict of interest was present (pā=ā0.81).</p
Discharge disposition for admitted patients following interfacility helicopter transport.

Patients that were admitted to the hospital were ultimately discharged to home, inpatient rehabilitation, or the morgue/hospice.</p
ICD-9-CM codes grouped according to clinical classifications software.

ICD-9-CM codes grouped according to clinical classifications software.</p
Operative versus non-operative management for selected diagnoses.

The distribution of management, dichotomized as āoperativeā or ānon-operativeā for selected diagnosis. The majority of spine fractures had no invasive intervention, whereas the majority of stroke patients underwent endovascular stroke therapy.</p
Median time to procedure by procedure.

The median times to intervention are presented (hours). Fiberoptic intracranial pressure monitors had the shortest interval at 1.0 hours, whereas spine fusions were 117.8 hours.</p
Multiple linear regression analysis of socioeconomic factors.
**
Significant.

A multiple linear regression analysis was performed for each procedure (column 1) and three socioeconomic factors (column 2). Individual regression coefficients are identified (column 3), along with their respective 95% confidence intervals (column 4). The goodness of model fit (column 5) is the percent of the variation explained by the model. The P value (column 6) represents the significance of each regression model as a whole, incorporating education, income, and employment as variables. This model was significant in describing the relationship of the three socioeconomic variables and the prevalence of CABG and PTCA. No causal mechanism can be identified with any regression analysis technique.</p
