Text of speech delivered by Melvin Brannon at the UND Spring Commencement on June 8, 1947. Brannon was Dean of the UND Medical School from 1905 until 1911 and the College of Liberal Arts from 1911 to 1914. After leaving UND, he served as President of the University of Idaho and Beloit College, in addition to acting as Chancellor of the University of Montana.
