    Decompositions of nn-Cube into 2mn2^mn-Cycles

It is known that the nn-dimensional hypercube Qn,Q_n, for nn even, has a decomposition into kk-cycles for k=n,2n,k=n, 2n, 2l2^l with 2ln.2 \leq l \leq n. In this paper, we prove that QnQ_n has a decomposition into 2mn2^mn-cycles for n2m.n \geq 2^m. As an immediate consequence of this result, we get path decompositions of QnQ_n as well. This gives a partial solution to a conjecture posed by Ramras and also, it solves some special cases of a conjecture due to Erde

Review on Analysis of Seam Quality

    Get PDF
The apparel quality largely depends on fabric quality and also on seam quality. Seam performance and appearance largely correlate with fabric characteristics, sewing-thread properties, selection of stitches and seams, and also with sewing conditions such as size of needle, sewing-thread tension, number of stitches per inch, and maintenance and operation of sewing machine. In good quality garments, functional requirements of the seam are very essential for apparel serviceability. The seam performance deteriorates the quality of garment by reducing seam strength and seam-slippage strength, seam puckering, and seam damage. Apparel durability and its esthetic performance are defined by seam quality. Seam performance is influenced by a selection of seam type with respect to stitch classes, selection of sewing threads irrespective to fabric characteristics, and different sewing process parameters

There are so many basic concepts in Ayurveda; Dhatvagni mandya is one of them. The whole phenomenon of disease cannot be completed without Dosha-Dushya Siddhant. They play important role in the pathology of disease. Obesity is one of them, which affect the health as well as life span. Sthaulya is one of the disease which is known to mankind since Vedic era, has been dealt in great details in Ayurvedic texts. The sign, symptoms and etiological factor of Sthaulya show very much resemblance with obesity. Worldwide Obesity is emerging health problem. It is a metabolic disorder which has affected every corner of world. In present study 30 patients of Sthaulya were selected from OPD and IPD of M.A. Podar hospital, Mumbai. These patients were undergone throw laboratory investigations. They were treated with Eranda Kshara with Ghrita bharjit Hingu given orally, duration of treatment was two months and follow up was done with parameters like Height, weight, BMI, Mid arm circumference, Waist circumference, Waist Hip ratio and symptoms of Sthaulya. It was observed that Atikshuda and Atitrushna reduce significantly. It shows relief in weight, BMI, Waist Circumference, Mid Arm Circumference and Waist Hip ratio. There was no significant change in hematological as well as Urine investigations. Average percentage of relief was 60.72%.&nbsp

Background: The onset of winter of 2014-2015 saw an alarming spurt in influenza A (H1N1) pdm 09 leading to a significant mortality. H1N1 primarily affects the very young, elderly, pregnancy and those patients with comorbidities. But the epidemiologic hallmark of pandemic influenza is its "pandemic signature " meaning most early mortalities are among young healthy adults. Methods: To study clinical profile, premorbid conditions and radiological features of Category C H1N1 proven by RTPCR retrospectively from hospital records from Jan 2015 to Dec 2015 at Tertiary Care Centre. Results: Total 108 cases RT PCR proven category C H1N1 studied from hospital records. 43 were males and 65 females. The mean age group was 50 years for males and 40 for females. Common symptoms were fever, cough, dyspnoea with pre-morbid illness like hypertension, diabetes mellitus, pregnancy, cancer and immune compromised with pulmonary tuberculosis. Radiologically there was lower zone involvement common in live patients and reticulonodular was common in death cases. Conclusions: In current study young to middle age group was commonly affected. Pre-morbid conditions, more than two risk factors and late referral were the most common findings in death cases

Life on the rocks: Small-scale primary succession in an abandoned limestone quarry

Abandoned quarries, from which all soil and plant life have been removed, represent an opportunity to study primary succession at a small scale. Using a framework suggested by Gilardelli et al. (2016), we assessed the stage of primary succession in an abandoned limestone quarry in Greencastle, Indiana, where gravel extraction ceased in 1977. From 2018-2021 we surveyed the quarry floor to describe the species composition and distribution of flowering plant species that have established at the site, then described each species in terms of its plant form, life history, native and wetland status, and invasive rank using the USDA website. In 2021, we made a grid across the quarry bottom and randomly selected 50 two-meter plots of which we characterized the substrate and identified flowering plant species found within each plot. We identified 106 species in the quarry, 72% are native to Indiana. From the quarry survey, we found that most of the species currently growing in the Nature Park quarry are native, herbaceous perennials. From the sample plots, we found that the quarry bottom does not follow the pattern of late-phase succession as laid out by Gilardelli et al. (2016) with only 28% of species identified being woody perennials that are sparsely distributed. Shrubland communities are not replacing herbaceous pioneer species as quickly as expected

Continuity of medication management in Medicaid patients with chronic comorbid conditions: An examination by mental health status

    Get PDF
Patients with serious mental illness (SMI) often have comorbid cardiometabolic conditions (CMCs) that may increase the number of prescribers involved in treatment. This study examined whether patients with SMI (depression and schizophrenia) and comorbid CMCs experience greater discontinuity of prescribing than patients with CMCs alone

An A3P approach towards Image Privacy on Social Sites

    Get PDF
Usage of social media’s has been considerably increasing in today’s world which enables the user to share their personal information like images with other users. This improved technology leads to privacy desecration where the users can share large number of images across the network. To provide security for the information, we put forward this paper consisting Adaptive Privacy Policy Prediction (A3P) framework to help users create security measures for their images. The role of images and its metadata are studied as a measure of user’s privacy preferences. The Framework defines the best privacy policy for the uploaded images. It includes an Image classification framework for association of images with similar policies and a policy prediction technique to automatically generate a privacy policy for user-uploaded images

Microwave synthesis of single-crystalline perovskite BiFeO3 nanocubes for photoelectrode and photocatalytic applications

    Get PDF
A simple microwave synthesis procedure has been developed for the single-crystalline perovskite nanocubes composed of bismuth ferrite (BiFeO(3)). Typical nanocubes had sizes ranging from 50 to 200 nm. The single-crystalline nature of nanocubes was confirmed by high resolution transmission electron microscopy and selected area electron diffraction pattern. X-ray diffraction pattern showed the rhombohedral phase with R3c space group. The material showed photoinduced water oxidation activity in both photoelectrochemical and photocatalytic modes. It could become a useful material for photoelectrode and photocatalytic applications. (C) 2008 American Institute of Physicsclose878

Retrospective analysis of necropsy findings in patients of H1N1 and their correlation to clinical features

    Get PDF
India reported its first case of H1N1 in July 2009 in Pune and since then, the number of reported cases and deaths exploded in India. Since very little data is available about histopathological findings in patients of H1N1 fatal cases in India, a retrospective chart analysis of necropsy findings of 15 cases of 2009 H1N1 fatal cases was performed. Common clinical features were fever, cough , and breathlessness followed by sore throat and rhinorrhea. Common lung findings were mononuclear cell infiltration, thick alveolar septae, intraalveolar hemorrhage . The other findings were congested pulmonary blood vessels, pulmonary edema, cytomegaly, fibrin accumulation and formation of eosinophilic membrane. These findings are suggestive of diffuse alveolar damage ( DAD) and DAD with hemorrhage. All patients who underwent necropsy had radiographic findings suggestive of unilobar or multilobar pneumonia. This clinical finding can be correlated pathologically in these patients as all of them had either polymorphonuclear or mononuclear infiltrate. Furthermore, necrotizing pneumonitis pattern seen on these patients is the likely cause of mortality in these patients. Although clinical ARDS pattern was noted in all these patients, it was well correlated in lung pathology in all these cases
