    Quantitative investigation of reproduction of gonosomal condensed chromatin during trophoblast cell polyploidization and endoreduplication in the east-european field vole Microtus rossiaemeridionalis

    Simultaneous determinations of DNA content in cell nuclei and condensed chromatin bodies formed by heterochromatized regions of sex chromosomes (gonosomal chromatin bodies, GCB) have been performed in two trophoblast cell populations of the East-European field vole Microtus rossiaemeridionalis: in the proliferative population of trophoblast cells of the junctional zone of placenta and in the secondary giant trophoblast cells. One or two GCBs have been observed in trophoblast cell nuclei of all embryos studied (perhaps both male and female). In the proliferative trophoblast cell population characterized by low ploidy levels (2–16c) and in the highly polyploid population of secondary giant trophoblast cells (32–256c) the total DNA content in GCB increased proportionally to the ploidy level. In individual GCBs the DNA content also rose proportionally to the ploidy level in nuclei both with one and with two GCBs in both trophoblast cell populations. Some increase in percentage of nuclei with 2–3 GCBs was shown in nuclei of the placenta junctional zone; this may be accounted for by genome multiplication via uncompleted mitoses. In nuclei of the secondary giant trophoblast cells (16–256c) the number of GCBs did not exceed 2, and the fraction of nuclei with two GCBs did not increase, which suggests the polytene nature of sex chromosomes in these cells. In all classes of ploidy the DNA content in trophoblast cell nuclei with the single GCB was lower than in nuclei with two and more GCBs. This can indicate that the single GCB in many cases does not derive from fusion of two GCBs. The measurements in individual GCBs suggest that different heterochromatized regions of the X- and Y-chromosome may contribute in GCB formation

    A search for the muon catalyzed fusion reaction dd --> ^4He +\gamma in the dd\mu muonic molecule was performed using the experimental \mu CF installation TRITON and NaI(Tl) detectors for \gamma-quanta. The high pressure target filled with deuterium at temperatures from 85 K to 800 K was exposed to the negative muon beam of the JINR phasotron to detect \gamma-quanta with energy 23.8 MeV. The first experimental estimation for the yield of the radiative deuteron capture from the dd\mu state J=1 was obtained at the level n_{\gamma}\leq 2\times 10^{-5} per one fusion.Comment: 9 pages, 3 Postscript figures, submitted to Phys.     Three-dimensional magnetic flux rope structure formed by multiple sequential X-line reconnection at the magnetopause

    On 14 June 2007, four Time History of Events and Macroscale Interactions during Substorms spacecraft observed a flux transfer event (FTE) on the dayside magnetopause, which has been previously proved to be generated by multiple, sequential X-line reconnection (MSXR) in a 2-D context. This paper reports a further study of the MSXR event to show the 3-D viewpoint based on additional measurements. The 3-D structure of the FTE flux rope across the magnetospheric boundary is obtained on the basis of multipoint measurements taken on both sides of the magnetopause. The flux rope's azimuthally extended section is found to lie approximately on the magnetopause surface and parallel to the X-line direction; while the axis of the magnetospheric branch is essentially along the local unperturbed magnetospheric field lines. In the central region of the flux rope, as distinct from the traditional viewpoint, we find from the electron distributions that two types of magnetic field topology coexist: opened magnetic field lines connecting the magnetosphere and the magnetosheath and closed field lines connecting the Southern and Northern hemispheres. We confirm, therefore, for the first time, the characteristic feature of the 3-D reconnected magnetic flux rope, formed through MSXR, through a determination of the field topology and the plasma distributions within the flux rope. Knowledge of the complex geometry of FTE flux ropes will improve our understanding of solar wind-magnetosphere interaction.Astronomy & AstrophysicsSCI(E)5ARTICLE51904-191111

    Исследование процессов формирования пористых выплавляемых моделей, применяемых для изготовления высокоточного литья

    Aerospace, manufacturing, and shipbuilding industries strive to enhance their competitiveness by optimizing material utilization and improving production processes. The investment casting process offers the capability to fabricate intricate and precise components using a diverse range of alloys. However, this method is not without its drawbacks, including high manufacturing costs and a significant rate of defective castings, which can reach up to 30 %. These defects primarily arise from the stresses imposed on the wax patterns and ceramic molds, leading to their distortion. To address this issue, efforts have been made to reduce stress by employing compacted wax powders for the production of investment patterns. However, stress relaxation in the wax patterns remains a concern as it can result in elastic deformation of the compacted material and subsequent alterations in the final product dimensions. To mitigate this issue, a series of tests were conducted with the objective of studying stress relaxation under constant compression strain, as described by the Kohlrausch equation. The obtained results provide valuable insights that enable the prediction of the ultimate dimensions of patterns created using different grades of wax.Конкурентоспособность современных предприятий машино-, судо- и авиастроения во многом определяется материало- и энергоэффективностью технологий, направленных на получение конструкций и узлов деталей ответственного назначения. Применение литья по выплавляемым моделям (ЛВМ) обеспечивает получение заготовок повышенной размерной и геометрической точности, сложной пространственной конфигурации из широкой номенклатуры сплавов. К недостаткам ЛВМ следует отнести многостадийность процесса и высокую стоимость конечного продукта, что предполагает недопустимость брака, доля которого может достигать 30 %. Брак в ЛВМ преимущественно вызван теплофизическими явлениями, сопровождающими ряд технологических операций и обусловливающими наличие напряжений в структуре воскообразных и керамических материалов, что определяет деформационные процессы в выплавляемых моделях и оболочковых формах. Для устранения негативного влияния теплофизического фактора и снижения напряжений в структурах промежуточных изделий процесса, выплавляемые модели формируют прессованием порошков воскообразных модельных композиций. При этом нерешенным остается вопрос релаксации напряжений в прессовках, приводящих к упругому отклику уплотненного материала и, как следствие, изменению размеров получаемого изделия. Поиск вариантов наиболее рационального режима формирования прессовки привел к необходимости проведения серии экспериментов, в результате которых предполагается достижение релаксации напряжений σ в условиях постоянной деформации сжатия, описываемого уравнением Кольрауша. Полученные в ходе эксперимента результаты позволят прогнозировать конечные размеры прессовок и сформировать математическую модель процесса, актуальную для широкой номенклатуры воскообразных модельных материалов, применяемых в ЛВМ

    SAFETY ASSESSMENT OF FOOD-STUFF RAW MATERIAL AND FOOD PRODUCTS IN BURYAT REPUBLIC

    The aim of study was a hygienic assessment on sanitary and chemical, microbiological indicators of food and the food staples, realized in the territory of the Buryat Republic during 2008-2012. Preparation for processing of primary data and the subsequent statistical analysis made with Excel and the integrated package STATISTICA 6.0. Calculation of percent of tests of hygienic standards not conforming to requirements (%) on areas and as a whole on the republic is carried out. The specified sizes are determined as for separate years, and on the average for the period. To average values 95% confidential intervals (CI) are calculated. As significant deviations from the average levels the sizes which are going out of CI were considered. The performed result of assessment of the laboratory studies may testify that the stable high percent of the samples which don't accord to the normative in the sanitary-chemical indices is available at present. Using the cluster analyses allowed to reveal that according to the sanitary-chemical indices 52,4 % of all the regions in which the portion of the non-standard samples was found to be in the range of 95% confidence interval (CI) [6,5-9,0] % of the average level have formed the more numerous (1st) cluster. The second cluster consisted of the Zaigrayevskiy and Bichurskiy regions in which the statistically significant increase in the prevalence of the non-standard samples was revealed. In 5 regions and the capital of Republic (Ulan-Ude) in the third cluster the most significant percent of the samples which don't accord to the hygienic claims (CI [15,0-29,0] %) is continuously registered. The fourth cluster consisted of three regions situated in the northern part of Buryat Republic in which the non-standard samples are extremely rare revealed (CI [0,5-2,2] %). The samples portion which don't accord to the hygienic normative in the microbiological indices was found to increase by 1,4-fold compared to the 2009-2011 years and amounted 3,8 % in 2012 year. The analysis based on the territorial factor has shown that the high levels of the non-standard samples of the food products in the microbiological indices were found to be in the regions of the first cluster: Eravninskiy, Mukhorshibirskiy, Kabanskiy and Ulan-Ude (CI [5,1-7,8] %), the last revealed level is the regions of the third cluster: Zakamenskiy, Bichurskiy, Barguzinskiy, Kurumkanskiy, Okinskiy, Bauntovskiy (CI [0,10-0,24] %). The control of microbiological safety allowed to reveal the most significant, in epidemic relation, food products: milk, meat, fish products, the products of children's food as well as the poultry products

    Assessment of the dynamics of mortality from alcohol-related causes at the regional level

    Aim of the study was to investigate rates of mortality from the alcohol-related reasons among the population of the Republic of Buryatia and their dynamics during 2013–2017 for assessment of efficiency of the preventive actions directed to decrease in prevalence of scales of alcoholism. Material and methods. Medical statistics presented in official publications of the Rosstat and the Republican Medical Information and Analytical Center of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Buryatia were used as an empirical base. Mortality rates are calculated on the average annual population. Results and discussion. 2974 persons died from the alcohol-associated reasons in the Republic during 2013-2017 according to Buryatstat. The rate of mortality decreased by 11.98 % on 100 thousand population (from 60.30 to 53.85). That exceeds similar indicators in the Far Eastern Federal District (further the FEFD) by 1.76 times, Siberian Federal District (further the SFD) by 1.52 times and the Russian Federation by 1.45 times. According to this indicator the Republic of Buryatia takes the 2nd rank place after Transbaikal region among 11 subjects included into the FEFD since 03.11.2018. Conclusions. Mortality indicator from the alcohol-associated reasons is one of the most informative indicators for assessment of the territories social and economic development and wellbeing. The decrease in mortality from the alcohol-associated reasons and volumes of alcoholic products consumption per caput is noted in recent years in the Republic. At the same time, the problem of increase in rates of growth of the mortality value from the alcohol-associated reasons among female population of working-age, living in rural areas allerts. Territories of risk with the high level of population alcoholic mortality and relating to «the most drinking», geographically being most far off from the capital of the Republic are revealed
