    Financial structure determinants analysis of Russian oil companies

    The article presents econometric analysis of factors determining financial structure of Russian oil companies. The study is based on microeconomic data. The impact on the companies' financial structure of profitability, revenue growth rate, age, size, ownership structure (presence of foreign investors, state ownership) as well as public status is statistically tested. Financial structure is analyzed in terms of percentage of total debt, percentage of long-term liabilities, percentage of short-term liabilities in the companies' capital structure. The sample is formed by 2002-2009 panel data for 200 companies with highest annual revenue, which according to All-Russia Classifier of Types of Economic Activity belong to the "Extraction of Crude Oil and Associated Gas" (11.10.11). Quantitative estimates are obtained of the impact the factors under consideration have on financial policies of national oil companies

The purpose of the paper is to develop a mechanism for the formation of future managers' entrepreneurial initiative based on the adaptation of pedagogical technologies and active teaching methods. The authors developed a "matrix of initiative learning", which allows them to change the position of students in the educational and professional activities within the framework of professional training, thus contributing to the development of entrepreneurial initiative. The effectiveness of this technique is proved by the results of experimental work, in the course of which the indicators of the effectiveness of the educational and professional activities of university students were evaluated. The urgency of the advanced professional training of the future competitive specialists for a high-tech industry is conditioned by the fact that one of the strategic objectives of modern production is to provide a new generation with the manpower, the leaders of production who can not only purchase and adapt foreign models, but also but have the qualification to develop and introduce new home-produced samples, and also be able to quickly adapt to new social and economic conditions. Therefore, this article aims to identify the features of the advanced training of the future specialists for high-tech industry in the process of integration of education, science and industry. The authors have found the distinctive features of the institution providing the advanced training of the future competitive specialists; proposed measures for the development of advanced training; set the requirements to the syllabus and technology of advanced training; discussed the conditions for the implementation of the advanced training of the future competitive specialists in the condition of education, science and industry integration. The issues of this article are of both theoretical and practical value for the management and teaching staff of the vocational education institutions

In today's economy the social infrastructure sectors from "the social overhead capital" or under the process of social reproduction have turned into an independent economic activity that occupies much larger share of the gross national product and gross national income compared to the "tangible" production phase. The social overhead today dominates both in GDP and employment volume, profit growth rates, capital investments volume, the level of innovation activity. The article analyzes the modern structure of the social infrastructure, gives rationale for the estimation methods of the social infrastructure parameters, examines the current classification of the social infrastructure factors affecting the economic growth of the region, identifies the new trends and patterns, analyzes the reasons for the decline in the investments absolute volume in the sectors of social infrastructure and identifies the factors stimulating and retarding the development of social overhead. The globalization of education triggers fair criticism of the university self-sufficiency in any country to train competent professionals, moreover, today the necessity to expand the students’ academic mobility is universally recognized. The article describes the basic methodological approaches to defining the essence of the concept of “academic mobility”. It explores the goal, objectives, functions of the students’ academic mobility in the context of international educational integration. This publication submits a classification of the forms of academic mobility of the higher education students on the following grounds: on the type of educational process, on the period of study in a foreign educational establishment, on the nature of the students’ involvement. One of the integral aspects of the quality management systems of industrial enterprises is the requirement of a continuous positive development of all its processes. In this regard, it is necessary to implement the principle of “continuous improvement” and in terms of products produced by the enterprise, thereby reducing loss of product’s quality. The purpose of the paper is to identify possible loss of quality in the stages of the product’s life cycle through the functions’ modeling of product’s quality. The authors carried out the functions’ modeling of product’s quality based on Quality Function Deployment methodology taking into account existing production, technological and material resources of the enterprise, allowing to formulate the condition for structuring of the quality functions and to increase the degree of the consumer’s satisfaction.     Cross-cultural study of American and British stand-up

    The nature of stand-up in the comparative aspect hasn't got extended coverage in linguistic literature. The analysis was based on the authentic data randomly selected from American and British comedian's shows from YouTube's recordings, which allowed studying the comedians' verbatim qualitatively and quantitatively. The hypothesis is that possible differences between the linguistic features of the American and British humor mirror the unique national characteristics, mentality and moral values. To verify the hypothesis, theoretical (analysis, synthesis and generalization) methods, empirical method of monitoring, statistical techniques: mean and variance; ranking, and non-parametric method were used. The findings demonstrate that American and British stand-up comedy is comparable in that the performance is based on jokes told to live audiences with the use of some verbal and non-verbal means. The research allowed distinguishing the following common features: structuredness, grouping parts of the text on the basis of semantics, contextuality, hyperbole usage. The differences which were distinguished reflect to a great extent the national character, values and mentality of the two nations. Ranking the scores order for each variable for the phenomena and the high value of p obtained ( .98) proved high rank order relationship between the data
