Computational Study Reliability of Diesel Engine through Electrical Assembly

Consistency of a system is the probability that, under defined operational and environmental conditions, the device can perform a specific function at the end over a specified time [Dinkar et al. 2018]. Reliability must be defined by definitive norm based on many variables, maximum of that may random [Bhardwaj et al. (2018)]. Reliability is arduous to scale, because no such tool is there to do this for specific machine. The reliability of the diverse units of complex machinery depends on their output process, the standard of the composites used in their design, operating conditions, etc. Despite these criteria the reliability of the system is very much related to diverse forms of uncertainty. The numerical assessment of ambiguities is therefore the starting point for a numerical assessment of reliability [Bhardwaj et al. (2019)]. The theory of probability is a concept concerned with the analysis of risk [Li, Y. - F et al. 2006]. Maintenance regulations can address issues pertaining to general maintenance, fix or dump laws, rules on emergency reporting, inventory control, supply of spare parts, etc. Such maintenance policies may be defined in advance and implementation decisions may be taken accordingly. The design process involves unit length assessments, research protocols, degree of automation as well as integrated redundancies, test time, specific test facilities and measures for safety; and so forth [Allan, T.M., 2012]. Performance is an attribute of reliability to reparable systems which accounts for the quality and service property of a component or device. ABC appraisal seeks to distinguish the item from each other and decide the importance of the element and the degree as required by company

Background: Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy is one kind of hepatic disorder which is unique to pregnancy. It is associated with many adverse pregnancy outcomes if not intervened at the right time. It requires adequate clinical and biochemical correlation during management. Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted in a tertiary care hospital among 1397 patients who underwent delivery during the study period from 01 July 2021 to 30 Jun 2022. Among the study population, those suspected to be having IHCP were subjected to laboratory tests and confirmed cases were further analysed for incidence and pregnancy outcomes in form of several maternal and fetal factors by appropriate statistical test using IBM SPSS version 20.0 Results: During the study period a total of 1397 patients underwent delivery out of which 174 showed clinical signs suggestive of IHCP. On subjecting these 174 suspected cases to further testing 53 patients were diagnosed with IHCP. The incidence of IHCP was 3.7% of which 28.30% (16/53) were primigravida. There were 22.64% (12/53) IVF pregnancies, 11.3% (6/53) were twin pregnancies. Total 28.30% cases (15/53) of IHCP presented with preterm labour. Of the total, there was 7.5% (4 /53) with meconium-stained liquor. Total 54.71% (29/53) cases underwent normal vaginal delivery, one forceps and one VBAC delivery, 45.28% (24/53) cases were underwent LSCS delivery and of this 70.8% (17/24) were emergency caesarean and 29.2% (7/24) were elective caesarean deliveries, 75% (18/24) were primary caesarean delivery. There were 25.4% (15/59) NICU admissions among new born of cases and 28.8% (17/59) were low birth weight babies. 25.4% (15/59) of neonates were seen to have APGAR score of less than 7 at 5 minute There was no stillbirth noted in diagnosed case of IHCP. Conclusions: IHCP causes significant maternal and neonatal morbidity and is major contributor of preterm delivery, caesarean delivery, meconium-stained liquor and NICU admission

    Get PDF
Global demand and pressure on natural resources is increasing, which is greater on the availability of pure and safe drinking water. The use of new-age technologies including Smart sensors, embedded devices, and Cloud computing can help deliver efficient and safe management for provisioning drinking water for consumers and irrigation for agriculture. The management actions combined with real-time data gathering, monitoring, and alerting with proactive actions, prevent issues from occurring. This research presents a secure and smart research framework to enhance the existing irrigation system. This involves a low-budget irrigation model that can provide automated control and requirements as per the season, climate by using smart device sensors and Cloud communications. The authors presented four unique algorithms and water management processing rules. This also includes alerting scenarios for device and component failures and water leakage by automatically switching to alternative mode and sending alert messages about the faults to resolve the operational failures. The objective of this research is to identify new-age technologies for providing efficient and effective farming methods and investigate Smart IoT-based water management. The highlights of this research are to investigate IoT water management systems using algorithms for irrigation farming, for which this research presents a secure and smart research framework. This involves a low-budget irrigation model that provides automated control and requirements as per the season, climate by using smart device sensors and Cloud communications. Alerts for device and component failures and water leakage are also in-built for switching to alternative mode to resolve the operational failures

An Exogenous Pre-Storage Melatonin Alleviates Chilling Injury in Some Mango Fruit Cultivars, by Acting on the Enzymatic and Non-Enzymatic Antioxidant System

    Get PDF
Melatonin (MT) treatment (100 M, 2 h) was applied to four mango fruit cultivars (‘Langra’, ‘Chaunsa’, ‘Dashehari’, and ‘Gulab Jamun’), before being stored at 5 1 C for 28 d, in order to alleviate chilling injury (CI). Maximum CI reduction was observed in ‘Langra’ mangoes, and minimum in ‘Gulab Jamun’ mangoes. This positive effect on quality preservation was associated with an increased concentration of endogenous MT, which prevented the accumulation of reactive oxygen species (H2O2 and O2 ) and stimulated non-enzymatic antioxidants (total phenolic compounds and total flavonoids), possibly due to higher activity of phenylalanine ammonia lyase and tyrosine ammonia lyase. Increased antioxidant activity was also documented in MT-treated ‘Langra’ mangoes, according to four different assays (DPPH, TEAC, FRAP, and CUPRAC) and higher activity of six antioxidant enzymes (superoxide dismutase, catalase, peroxidase, ascorbate peroxidase, glutathione reductase, and dehydroascorbate reductase). In contrast, ‘Gulab Jamun’ mangoes showed minimal or no positive effects on the aforementioned variables in response to the exogenous MT application. ‘Chaunsa’ and ‘Dashehari’ mangoes had some intermediate effects on their antioxidant system (enzymatic and non-enzymatic) and alleviation of CI, when treated with exogenous MT.We conclude that exogenous MT exerts a cultivar-dependent stimulating effect on the antioxidant system of mangoes, which results in an increase in the fruits’ resistance to low temperature

The present study was aimed to investigate the effect of physico-chemical parameters and soil macro-nutrients to know the nutrient uptake status during sowing time (ST) and after the harvesting (AH) of crops of Leh-Ladakh. In this context, total 55 no. of soil samples were collected from the eleven villages. Thereafter, soil texture, pH, electrical conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (TDS), organic carbon (OC), nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) were analyzed as per the standard methods. The results exhibited variation in different studied parameters at ST and AH, are OC (ST- 1.70 ± 0.11; AH-2.31±0.08), N (ST- 171.54±11.40; AH- 212.03±13.18), P (ST- 75.62±8.16; AH- 96.32±11.56), pH (ST- 8.12±0.05; AH- 8.16±0.06), EC (ST- 0.48±0.04; AH- 0.58±17), TDS (ST-309±22.41; AH-189±16.42) and soil texture gradient (Sand: ST-75.16±1.27 & AH-71.75±1.26, Silt: ST- 18.55±1.09 & AH- 20.66±1.02 and clay: ST- 6.33±0.53 & AH- 7.76±0.63). The comparison of physico-chemical parameters, macronutrients, soil texture, and organic carbon at sowing time (ST) and after harvesting (AH) revealed significant difference in some macronutrients, EC, and organic carbon, whereas no changes were observed in soil texture, pH and phosphorus. Hence, this study highlights the need of physico-chemical parameters management during crops sowing for enhancing macronutrients availability to crops in trans-Himalayan high altitude region
