934-936Totally 55 <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Penaeus monodon samples were collected and plated on TCBS agar medium 35 samples showed colonies on TCBS agar. Both yellow and green colours were observed. In Sillago sihama, 45 samples collected and plated on TCBS agar among the samples 25 sample showed colonies on agar medium. Canned sea food 25 sample plated 15 showed colonies on TCBS agar plates. Among the total isolates P. monodon showed the presence of 3 Vibrio species namely V. cholerae, V. parahaemolyticus and V. harveyi. <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">S. sihama showed the presence of <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">V. cholerae, V. parahaemolyticus and V. harveyi. From the canned food only two species V. cholerae and V. parahaemolyticus were characterized. Among the antivibrio activity of the selected plants, Cumin showed the maximum zone of inhibition against <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">V. parahaemolyticus. This study revealed that the isolates were susceptible against the plant extract

Pyopericardium due to group D streptococcus

Beta-hemolytic Enterococcus faecalis was isolated from the pericardial fluid obtained from a patient with pyopericardium. The patient was immunocompetent and had mild pleural effusion. He was treated with parenteral co-amoxiclav and amikacin, had undewent pericardiectomy with repeated pericardial aspiration, and recovered completely. To our knowledge, this is the first report of pyopericardium due to E. faecalis

Autonomous Braking System Using Linear Actuator

The most frequent cause of vehicle accidents (car, bike, truck, etc.) is the unexpected existence of barriers while driving. An automated braking system will assist and minimize such collisions and save the driver and other people’s lives and have a substantial influence on driver safety and comfort. An autonomous braking system is a complicated mechatronic system that incorporates a front-mounted ultrasonic wave emitter capable of creating and transmitting ultrasonic waves. In addition, a front-mounted ultrasonic receiver is attached to gather ultrasonic wave signals that are reflected. The distance between the impediment and the vehicle is determined by the reflected wave. Then, a microprocessor is utilized to control the vehicle’s speed depending on the detected pulse information, which pushes the brake pedal and applies the vehicle’s brakes extremely hard for safety. For work-energy at surprise condition for velocity 20 km/hr, the braking distance is 17.69 m, and for velocity 50 km/hr, the braking distance is 73.14

Aim: Vasectomy is performed in deer for population control, maintain pedigreed animals and prevent inbreeding. Conventional procedure of vasectomy required a long-term anesthesia and longer duration of hospitalization, which often result in stress, morbidity and mortality. A study was conducted to capture, neuter and release the deer with minimal hospitalization and stress by adopting three finger palpation technique of vas deferens and performing vasectomy through a key-hole incision. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted on three spotted male deer and three sambar male deer, which were immobilized with a mixture of xylazine at the dose of 1.00 mg/kg and ketamine at the dose of 5.00 mg/kg. The vas deferens could be palpated as a piece of cooked spaghetti at the neck of the scrotum on the anterior aspect by three finger palpation technique and was able to fix the vas deferens between the thumb and middle finger. Through a key-hole incision of <5 mm length, the vas deferens was exteriorized and resected using electrocautery and the skin incision was sealed with methyl methacrylate. The deer were released on the same day, and no post-operative complication was noticed. Conclusion: The study revealed that three finger palpation technique of vas deferens provided guidance for easy access to vas deferens for vasectomy in deer with less hospitalization, and the deer could be released on the same day
