OMA analysis of a launcher under operational conditions with time-varying properties
The objective of the paper is the investigation of the capability of Operational Modal Analysis approaches to deal with time-varying system in the low-frequency domain.
Specifically, the problem of the identification of the dynamic properties of a launch-vehicle, working under actual operative conditions, is studied. Two OMA methods are considered: the Frequency Domain Decomposition and the Hilbert Transform Method. It is demonstrated that both OMA approaches allow the time-tracking of modal parameters, namely, natural frequencies, damping ratios and mode shapes, from the response accelerations only recorded during actual flight tests of a launcher characterized by a large mass variation due to fuel burning typical of the first phase of the flight
Helping consumers with a front-of-pack label: numbers or colours? Experimental comparison between Guideline Daily Amount and Traffic Light in a diet building exercice
This paper contributes to the debate on front-of-pack nutritional labels. Because of their dissimilar formats, Guideline Daily Amount (GDA) and Traffic Light (TL) may trigger different responses among consumers. While GDA is comprehensive and cognitively demanding, information is coarser and more salient in TL. We implement an incentivized laboratory experiment to assess the relative performance of GDA and TL labelling schemes in assisting consumers to build a healthy daily diet. Participants must compose a daily diet, choosing from a finite set of products, and are paid a fixed cash amount only if the diet satisfies pre-determined nutritional goals. Goals correspond to the guideline daily amount values for different nutritional attributes, whose number varies from 1 (kcal) to 7 (kcal, fat, sugar, salt, fibre, vitamin C and calcium). Three different labels, GDA, TL and a combined GDATL are provided. Results show that GDA performs better than TL when subjects do not face time constraints. When time is limited however, TL and GDA have identical efficacy with 4 nutritional goals, and TL even outperforms GDA with 7 nutritional goals
Projet Lab2Green.

Triethylammonium hexa-μ2-acetato-κ12 O:O′-diacetato-κ2 O-aqua-μ3-oxido-triferrate(III) toluene monosolvate
The title compound, (C6H16N)[Fe3(CH3CO2)8O(H2O)]·C7H8, was serendipitously crystallized from a reaction of disilanol with iron(II) acetate. The trinuclear acetatoferrate(III) anion has a triethylammonium cation as the counterion. The three Fe atoms lie on the vertices of a regular triangle and are octahedrally coordinated. The complete coordination of the anion includes shared ligands among the three metal ions: a central tribridging O atom and six bidentate bridging acetyl groups. The six-coordinations of two of the metal ions are completed by a monodentate acetate ligand, whereas that of the third metal ion is completed by a water molecule. The uncoordinated triethylammonium cation is involved in N—H⋯O hydrogen bonding to a singly coordinated acetyl group. The coordinated aqua molecule is involved in bifurcated O—H⋯O hydrogen bonding. C—H⋯O interactions are also observed. The toluene solvent molecule is disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.609 (11):0.391 (11) ratio
trans-Carbonylchloridobis[dicyclohexyl(4-isopropylphenyl)phosphane]rhodium(I) acetone monosolvate
The title rhodium Vaska-type complex, trans-[RhCl{P(C6H11)2(C6H4-4-C3H7)2}2(CO)], crystallizes with an accompanying acetone solvent molecule. The metal atom shows a distorted square-planar coordination environment with selected important geometrical parameters of Rh—P = 2.3237 (6) and 2.3253 (6) Å, Rh—Cl = 2.3724 (6) Å, Rh—C = 1.802 (2) Å, P—Rh—P = 173.42 (2)° and Cl—Rh—C = 179.13 (7)°. Effective cone angles for the two P atoms are 165 and 161°, respectively. Both isopropyl groups and the acetone molecule are disordered with occupancy values of 0.523 (5):0.477 (5), 0.554 (8):0.446 (8) and 0.735 (4):0.265 (4), respectively. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak C—H⋯O and C—H⋯Cl contacts
