    Revealing the Ligand Effect on Copper(I) Disproportionation via Operando IR Spectra

    The ligand effect on Cu<sup>I</sup> disproportionation is investigated through operando IR. It is found that the Cu<sup>I</sup> complexes formed from the reaction of CuI with β-diketone enolate, β-keto ester enolate, and β-keto amide enolate could disproportionate to Cu<sup>II</sup> and Cu<sup>0</sup> species, respectively. The distinct disproportionation rates of Cu<sup>I</sup> complexes chelated by different β-dicarbonyl ligands provide a useful insight into the nature of copper catalytic reactions, which will be helpful for designing ligands and understanding the mechanism of Cu-catalyzed coupling reactions
