On the divine in Husserl

The paper deals with the ways in which Edmund Husserl develops the question of God. Six ways to reach God are shown as present in Husserl’s writings, some of them seem to be very close to the traditional philosophical ways to go as far as God (the objective and the subjective ways) others are very original, in particular the way that starts from the analysis of the hyletic sphere of the human being, a sphere which is present in all the reality too. At last it is possible to notice Husserl’s interest in the mystical approach to God

L’ANTROPOLOGIA FENOMENOLOGICA DI EDITH STEIN

The complexity of the work of Edith Stein is made by the concatenation of the early Husserlian ideas with themes of ethics, psychology, politics, that are significantly in the present days. In this paper Idwell on the centrality of human being in Steinian phenomenologicalanthropology, which is emphasized as communion with the others byactivating the value of empathy. The problem of inter-subjectivity is very important for the entire philosophy of Stein to understanding the human being within the dynamism of the life-world, in the process of self-thinking and, no less, of thinking the other humans

A Phenomenological Approach to Incarnation

The Incarnation of the Divine is not accepted by all the religions, more than that for some of them it is scandalous to admit it, in fact between the human and the divine there is a dissimilarity so great that it is impossible to consider any similarity. To afford such a question in the essay I start from the phenomenological anthropology in order to explain the sense of the religious experience and at the same time I consider the history of the religions from the archaic ones as far as the last interpretations of Christianity. Visiting once again the contribution of Gerardus van der Leeuw I join the results of his historical research with the anthropological analyses of Edmund Husserl and Edith Stein. The two ways, the anthropological one and the historical one, are linked up in one subject, so that is possible to propose a new perspective in the field of the "phenomenology of religion". I examine the contrast between "God near us", that is the faith in His Incarnation in Christianity and "God far from us", that is the refusal of His Incarnation, particularly in Judaism, trying to prove the accomplishment and the value of Incarnation

Antropologia e metafisica in Edmund Husserl e Edith Stein

Il mio scopo in questo articolo è mettere d'accordo l'analisi sulle questioni antropologiche e metafisiche di E. Husserl ed E. Stein. Per realizzare questo compito è necessario spiegare il significato del metodo fenomenologico, prima di tutto in Husserl e poi in E. Stein, mettendo in luce la novità del suo approccio della conoscenza dell'essere umano, del mondo e di Dio. Il saggio è suddiviso in quattro parti; due sono dedicate all'investigazione dell'essere umano di Husserl e Stein e due allo sviluppo dei loro temi metafisici. Leggendo il primo topico scopriamo una significante connessione tra i due pensatori; leggendo il secondo, notiamo che è possibile trovare un approccio metafisico della realtà persino in Husserl ed um originale sviluppo dei temi nell'analisi della Stein, collegandoli con la filosofia e la teologia medievale

Il problema del male nella filosofia politica, etica e metafisica di Edith Stein

Nel mio articolo suggerisco di iniziare "von unten", dalle associazioni umane, in particolare quellepolitiche in cui viviamo ogni giorno e che consideriamo positive o negative, come ha scritto EdithStein nel suo lavoro "On the State". Per comprendere il significato dei nostri giudizi sul bene e sulmale, è necessario approfondire ed esplorare l'origine del male in senso etico, metafisico e religioso.Pertanto, parto dall'analisi della descrizione essenziale della comunità di Edith Stein, e in particolarequella che è alla base dello Stato, per scoprire le difficoltà a costruire uno Stato secondo la suastruttura essenziale a causa del male etico. Secondo Stein, per comprendere la nascita e il significatodi questo tipo di male e del male in generale, è necessario proseguire fino alla comprensionemetafisica di esso come spiega in Essere finito ed Eterno

Multidisciplinary Approach to the Theme of Attention

In my essay I examine the role played by attention in the process of human knowledge, as it is proposed by Edmund Husserl in his writings published in Perception and Attention, vol. 38 Husserliana. In them we find very subtle analyses that we have to follow in order to understand the sense of attention. Strating from these I go towards the psychological approach to attention as performed both by psychophysics and phenomenological psychology, in particular dealing with Bruno Callieri’s psychopathological description of attention.

Il mio scopo in questo articolo è quello di affrontare le analisi di E. Husserl ed E. Stein sulle questioniantropologiche e metafisiche. Per svolgere questo compito è necessario spiegare il significato delmetodo fenomenologico, prima in Husserl e poi in E. Stein, sottolineando la novità del loro approccioalla conoscenza dell'essere umano, del mondo e di Dio. Il saggio è diviso in quattro parti; due sonodedicati all'indagine di Husserl e Stein sull'essere umano e due al loro sviluppo di temi metafisici. Perquanto riguarda il primo argomento, si scopre una significativa connessione tra i due pensatori; perquanto riguarda il secondo, si nota che è possibile ritrovare un approccio metafisico alla realtà anchein Husserl e uno sviluppo originale del tema nell'analisi di Stein legata alla filosofia medievale e allateologia
