String Tension and Thermodynamics with Tree Level and Tadpole Improved Actions

We calculate the string tension, deconfinement transition temperature and bulk thermodynamic quantities of the SU(3) gauge theory using tree level and tadpole improved actions. Finite temperature calculations have been performed on lattices with temporal extent N_tau = 3 and 4. Compared to calculations with the standard Wilson action on this size lattices we observe a drastic reduction of the cut-off dependence of bulk thermodynamic observables at high temperatures. In order to test the influence of improvement on long-distance observables at T_c we determine the ratio T_c/sqrt(sigma). For all actions, including the standard Wilson action, we find results which differ only little from each other. Der Edelkrebs (Astacus astacus) im Kreis Höxter

Bis Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts waren in den Gewässern Deutschlands drei Flusskrebsarten beheimatet. Während der Edelkrebs (Astacus astacus; Abb. 1) ursprünglich in ganz Deutschland anzutreffen war, beschränkten sich die Vorkommen des Dohlenkrebses (Austropotamobius pallipes; Abb. 2) schon immer auf die Gewässer im äußersten Südwesten Deutschlands (Oberund Hochrhein sowie die Vorberge des Schwarzwaldes). Auch der ca. 8 cm große Stein- Abb. 2: Dohlenkrebs (Austropotamobius pallipes; Foto: C. LUKHAUP) krebs (Austropotamobius torrentium; Abb. 3) war nicht in ganz Deutschland zu Hause. Man fand ihn v. a. in Süddeutschland. In Nordrhein-Westfalen erreicht der Steinkrebs auf der Höhe von Köln seine nördliche Verbreitungsgrenze. Insbesondere Edelkrebse waren früher häufig in dichten Beständen anzutreffen, so dass sie fischereilich genutzt wurden. In vielen Regionen hatten sie eine große wirtschaftliche Bedeutung (GROß et al. 2008)
