A Prony-moment Method For Parameter Identification In Over-determined Systems

    No full text
A Prony-moments method is presented for the recognition of true parameters of a dynamic system. The use of over-determination in the Prony scheme is an effective technique for the treatment of noise-contaminated data, in order to obtain a suboptimal approximation of the system's unit impulse response function. Parameters obtained through the Prony scheme are employed in Gibilaro and Lees's method of moments in order to identify the system's true resonant parameters. Identification examples are presented for a 3 dof mechanical system. © 1994 Academic Press. All rights reserved.8214515
