Effects of implant Suprelorin on cytological changes of vaginal epithelial cells in female dogs (4.7 mg deslorelin)

Diagnosis of the estrous cycle in female dogs is important in veterinary medicine. The estrous cycle is divided into the following stages: proestrus, estrus, diestrus, metestrus, and anestrus, which due to the action of hormones, replace one after another. This feature of the estrous cycle leads to some difficulties with reproduction. It is hard to obtain newborns because of prolonged anestrus. Vaginal cytology is a simple and available diagnostic method of the estrous cycle. It is based on the analysis of vaginal mucosa epithelial cells changes. This method is used to determine the time of mating and diagnose pathological conditions in the reproductive system of female dogs. There are various drugs in veterinary medicine for the correction of the estrous cycle in female dogs. We used implant Suprelorin® to estrus induction. There were described methods of estrus stimulation using a subcutaneous implant Suprelorin (4.7 mg, deslorelin) and changes in vaginal epithelial cells using the vaginal cytology method. The study was performed on twelve (n = 12) adult female dogs in the anestrus stage. Implants were injected subcutaneously in the groin area and removed at the beginning of the estrus

Regional impacts of ultrafine particle emissions from the surface of the Great Lakes

Quantifying the impacts of aerosols on climate requires a detailed knowledge of both the anthropogenic and the natural contributions to the aerosol population. Recent work has suggested a previously unrecognized natural source of ultrafine particles resulting from breaking waves at the surface of large freshwater lakes. This work is the first modeling study to investigate the potential for this newly discovered source to affect the aerosol number concentrations on regional scales. Using the WRF-Chem modeling framework, the impacts of wind-driven aerosol production from the surface of the Great Lakes were studied for a July 2004 test case. Simulations were performed for a base case with no lake surface emissions, a case with lake surface emissions included, and a default case wherein large freshwater lakes emit marine particles as if they were oceans. Results indicate that the lake surface emissions can enhance the surface-level aerosol number concentration by ~20% over the remote northern Great Lakes and by ~5% over other parts of the Great Lakes. These results were highly sensitive to the new particle formation (i.e., nucleation) parameterization within WRF-Chem; when the new particle formation process was deactivated, surface-layer enhancements from the lake emissions increased to as much as 200%. The results reported here have significant uncertainties associated with the lake emission parameterization and the way ultrafine particles are modeled within WRF-Chem. Nevertheless, the magnitudes of the impacts found in this study suggest that further study to quantify the emissions of ultrafine particles from the surface of the Great Lakes is merited

Application of firearm by military men of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine under the conditions of martial law declared in Ukraine

Зазначено, що застосування вогнепальної зброї українськими прикордонниками повинно відповідати загальновизнаним міжнародним принципам, а також здійснюватися на законних підставах, у відповідності до положень чинного законодавства, оскільки тільки за таких умов можливо встановити відповідний правопорядок у державі та на належному рівні забезпечити виконання заходів правового режиму воєнного стану.The article is about application of firearms by military men of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine under the conditions of martial law, declared in Ukraine. It is determined that border-guards, according to the current legislation, can apply firearms: in the context of implementation of measures for ensuring national security and defense, repulse and deter armed aggression against Ukraine; during law enforcement activities at the state border of Ukraine; and during the performance of internal and guard duty. Each of the above cases has its own peculiarities of legal regulation. It is noted that the law of Ukraine “On the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine” is a universal normative legal act that determines the basic legal grounds for the application of firearms, in various circumstances, both in the country and at the state border of Ukraine. Under the conditions when border guards execute tasks of defense of the state and participate in measures aimed at repelling armed aggression, border guards are also guided by the Procedure for the Use of Weapons and Military Equipment by units, military units and subdivisions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of October 10, 2018 № 828. Legal regulation of internal and guard service tasks by military men of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine is contained in the provisions of the Statute of the Internal Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Emphasis is placed on the fact that the specifics of the use of firearms in the conditions of implementation of law enforcement functions and in the conditions of performance duties of internal service is that border guards are obliged to warn the person about the intention to use weapons. Exceptions are cases where such delay may endanger the life and health of the border guard. At the same time, such a warning is not required when border guards involved in the defense operations of Ukraine.Исследованы правовые основания применения пограничниками огнестрельного оружия в различных условиях обстановки, в частности: в условиях осуществления мер по обеспечению национальной безопасности и обороны, отпору и сдерживанию вооруженной агрессии против Украины; при реализации правоохранительной функции на государственной границе Украины; а также при выполнении служебных задач внутренней службы. Каждый из случаев имеет свои особенности правового регулирования. Отмечено, что применение огнестрельного оружия украинскими пограничниками должно соответствовать общепризнанным международным принципам, а также осуществляться на законных основаниях, в соответствии с положениями действующего законодательства, поскольку только при таких условиях можно установить соответствующий правопорядок в государстве и на должном уровне обеспечить выполнение мер правового режима военного положения

The normative legal acts regulating the fight against cybercrime in cyberspace by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine are analyzed. Local and nonlocal solvable structures in ODEs reduction

Solvable structures, likewise solvable algebras of local symmetries, can be used to integrate scalar ODEs by quadratures. Solvable structures, however, are particularly suitable for the integration of ODEs with a lack of local symmetries. In fact, under regularity assumptions, any given ODE always admits solvable structures even though finding them in general could be a very difficult task. In practice a noteworthy simplification may come by computing solvable structures which are adapted to some admitted symmetry algebra. In this paper we consider solvable structures adapted to local and nonlocal symmetry algebras of any order (i.e., classical and higher). In particular we introduce the notion of nonlocal solvable structure
