    Comparative Study of Innovation Ecosystems Inducing Success of Startups in The World (Cutting 2000-2017)

    Global Innovation Ecosystems are the result of creating drive-driven locations driven by their local entrepreneurial and innovative characteristics. This article aims to bring to light important information from three of the largest successful start-up ecosystems in the world. As a goal, this article aims to draw a comparison between the Startup-inducing global innovation ecosystems. The adopted methodology had a descriptive classification and a qualitative method. The study was made through a chronological cut - 2000 to 2017 - disseminating information about Silicon Valley ecosystems - USA; Tel Aviv - Israel and Beijing China. As a result, it was found that even some actions and activities seen in these ecosystems can be performed, but it is necessary to take into consideration the local characteristics and their abilities for the ecosystem to succeed

    Startups developed through academic Spin-offs foster the development of products and processes inside and outside the innovation ecosystem that originated them and have become an important research topic with regard to Technology Transfer mechanisms and University-Company cooperation. Therefore, the objective of this article was to bring up information that could contribute to the discussion on academic spin-offs, startups and the benefits initially generated by this cooperation. The adopted methodology was the exploratory descriptive, aiming the perception in the literature used in some arguments and data that would help the understanding of this relationship. In view of this, the results show us that there is a large number of qualified personnel within these firms and that this intellectual capital cooperates with the positive impact on a country\u27s economic and social development

    Analysis of Intellectual Property Assets in A Local Innovation System on The Rise: The Case of Pernambuco

    The intellectual protection process is a sine qua non condition for leveraging a system based on a specific location. The purpose of this article was to find a referenced chronological survey - 2000 to 2017 - on the relationship of fostering innovation and Intellectual Protection, according to the usability of certain assets in view of the Local Innovation System in Pernambuco - Brazil. The methodology used was descriptive, with documentary analysis and bibliographic references. As a result, it was found that there is a structural disorder in Intellectual Property in the state, taking it to levels far below other Local Innovation Systems with the same innovative maturity. A developmental and intellectual property gap was found in what is already considered one of the largest and best structured Brazilian Local Innovation Systems. Considering these unsatisfactory results, it is necessary to promote in the Pernambuco Local Innovation System innovative matrix methods and Intellectual Property capable of taking the referred state to innovative levels never thought of

    A Palma Forrageira é uma planta rica em vitaminas, minerais e aminoácidos, constitui-se em complemento alimentar de alto poder nutritivo, tanto animal quanto humano, mas ainda é relegada à condição de planta associada à subsistência de agricultores familiares em regiões periféricas, particularmente do seminário nordestino. Este trabalho apresenta uma prospecção tecnológica sobre a planta, fazendo uso de revisões patentária e bibliográfica, com objetivos de avaliar o poder econômico da Palma Forrageira, suas aplicações no contexto da alimentação humana e animal, suas características nutricionais e sua utilização comercial. Os resultados indicam o alto potencial da Palma Forrageira como produto agrícola que, além de promover sustentabilidade, pode alavancar negócios intensivos em tecnologia, contribuindo para um efetivo desenvolvimento das regiões onde é cultivada
