The conference papers of the Annual Conference on Formative Research on EFL. Practices thar inspire change collect pedagogical experiences, research reports, and reflections about social issues, language teaching, teaching training, interculturality under the panorama of the Covid-19 pandemic. Each paper invites the reader to implement changes in their teaching practice through disruptive pedagogies, reflect on the social and emotional consequences of the lockdown, new paths for teacher training and different approaches for teaching interculturality. We expect to inspire new ways to train pre-service teachers and teach languages in this changing times

Hematuria fatal por fístula ilíaco-vesical, reporte de caso Lethal hematuria du to ilio-vesical fistula. Case report

Las fístulas ilíaco-vesicales son una rara complicación de los aneurismas de la aorta abdominal. Se presenta el caso de un paciente de 76 años con aneurisma roto de arteria ilíaca contenido en vejiga, que se manifestó por dolor abdominal y hematuria, y en quien se sospechó por tomografía una fístula ilíaco-vesical, la cual se confirmó durante la cirugía. El paciente falleció a los 20 días del procedimiento, por shock mixto séptico.Iliocovesical fistulas are infrequent complications of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA). We report the case of a 76 year-old male with a contained ruptured aneurysm of the iliac to the urinary bladder. Complaints on presentation were abdominal pain and hematuria; suspected iliacovesical fistula was reported on a computed tomography (CT) scan, which was confirmed during laparotomy. The patient died 20 days after the procedure due to mixed distributive septic shock

6 páginasThe initial development of knowledge about a decrease in hearing acuity goes back to ancient Greece. Since then, various treatments have been used to cure this disability, focusing on its etiology. During the colonial period, almond oil was used as an effective agent to treat deafness. The use of almond oil in New Granada´s recipes for the treatment of deafness caused by impacted earwax is effective, safe, and is even currently used as a cerumenolytic. However, a lack of knowledge in the clinical evolution of the patients treated at that time makes it difficult to reach conclusive results.Los indicios acerca del desarrollo del conocimiento sobre la disminución de la agudeza auditiva se remontan hasta la antigua Grecia. Desde entonces, diversos tratamientos se han empleado para tratar dicha discapacidad, centrados en su etiología. Durante el período colonial se empleó el aceite de almendras como un agente eficaz para tratar la sordera. El uso del aceite de almendras en las recetas neogranadinas para el tratamiento de la sordera causada por cerumen impactado es efectivo, seguro e incluso es empleado como cerumenolítico en la actualidad.
