    We studied populations of boars of two pig breeds (Large White and Landrace) in the Belgorod and Voronezh regions of Russia to identify mutations in the gene of the estrogen receptor ESR1 (ESR/PvuII). The results showed that the frequency of the positive B allele was 0.279 in the Landrace and 0.824 in the Large White.     AbstractReaction mixture for PGHS (prostaglandin-H-synthase) is a two-phase system including micellar hydrophobic phase and hydrophilic aqueous phase. Reagents added to the mixture are distributed between phases, thus concentrations of reagents dissolved in phases can differ significantly from their overall contents.Using dynamic light scattering we found that the hydrophobic phase produced by tween-20 consists of micelles, which radius (4–5nm) does not depend on either tween-20 overall content (0.1%–1% v/v) or arachidonic acid (AA) addition (10–1000μM) or PGHS addition (1μM).Tween-20 overall content changing from 0.1% to 2% v/v dramatically affected COX kinetic, but accounting AA distribution between phases allowed us to estimate “true” parameters, independent of the tween-20 overall content and the concentration of another substrate: KMOx equals 9.8μM O2 in the aqueous phase or 0.0074bar in the gaseous phase, KMAA equals 5400μM AA in the phase of tween-20 micelles and 5400/PμM AA in the aqueous phase (P is the distribution ratio for the AA between the aqueous phase and the hydrophobic phase (P≫1000)). This approach allowed to evaluate PS, the distribution ratio for the AA between the hydrophobic phase and the PGHS active center (PS ~310). This coefficient indicates the AA selectivity toward the cyclooxygenase active center

    In order to find out the mechanisms of pathogenesis of degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the spine, it is of particular interest to search for body parameters which are directly or indirectly interrelated with the key factors of peripheral conversion of nidus iodothyronines and constitute a system of network interactions, affecting metabolic indicators at the local and systemic level.The aim. To search for correlations of local key factors of peripheral conversion of Ligamentum flavum iodothyronines with indicators of biochemical, hematological and hormonal blood profiles of patients with stenosing processes of the spinal canal and dural sac in the lumbar spine.Materials and methods. 33 patients (15 males, 18 females) with stenosing processes of the spinal canal and dural sac in the lumbar spine were examined (mean age – 45.73 ± 1.95 years). The expression of deiodinase genes and other candidate genes was determined in Ligamentum flavum biopsies collected during surgical treatment. Biochemical, hematological and hormonal parameters were determined in peripheral blood. The resulting data array was processed in order to find correlations between the parameters of systemic and local metabolism.Results. The relationships of deiodinases with the expression of GDF5, MMP1, MMP3 and TIMP1 in Ligamentum flavum (p < 0.05) were found. Of the hormonal profile of the blood serum, the most significant indicators were thyreotropin, free triiodothyronine and thyroperoxidase antibodies. In the biochemical profile, levels of direct bilirubin, total cholesterol, HDL and LDL cholesterol and triglycerides changed along with the expression of deiodinases. Correlative relationships with the expression of deiodinases were found for the following hematological analytes of whole peripheral blood: hemoglobin, mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration, numbers of granulocytes, lymphocytes, eosinophils, monocytes, band neutrophils, red cell distribution width and platelet crit. The data obtained indicate the involvement of peripheral conversion factors in the pathogenetic process and provide information to form a new view on the pathogenesis of degenerative-dystrophic processes in the Ligamentum flavum of patients with stenosing processes of the spinal canal and the dural sac in the lumbar spine

    The principles of constru.ction and implementation of semi-active radar systems, using the illumination from third-party sources are presented. The results of theoretical and experimental researches of the Saint-Petersburg state electrotechnical university "LETI" n. a. V. I. Ulyanov (Lenin) and JSC «SRI "Vector"» in this direction are given. The advantages of semi-active radar systems, the possibility of coherent processing with a large accumulation time in com.bination with the digital formation of the directional diagrams of the receiving antenna arrays, as well as prospects of application systems semi-active radar for the protection of important sites and monitoring areas, including the detection and orbital support of ground, surface and aerial objects. The stru.cture of the developed passive coherent radar com.plex is described; its basic technical characteristics are given.Представлены принципы построения и вопросы практической реализации систем полуактивной радиолокации, использующих сигналы подсвета сторонних источников. Приведены результаты теоретических и экспериментальных исследований, выполненных в Санкт-Петербургском государственном электротехническом университете "ЛЭТИ" им. В. И. Ульянова (Ленина) и АО «НИИ "Вектор"» в этом направлении. Рассмотрены преимущества систем полуактивной радиолокации, возможности когерентной обработки с большим временем накопления, а также перспективы применения систем полуактивной радиолокации для охраны важных объектов и мониторинга территорий, включая обнаружение и траекторное сопровождение наземных, надводных и воздушных объектов.     InDel-ПОЛИМОРФИЗМ В КОЛИЧЕСТВЕННОЙ ОЦЕНКЕ ПОСТТРАНСПЛАНТАЦИОННОГО ХИМЕРИЗМА

    Reduction of minimal residual disease to undetectable levels is the key criterion for efficiency of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (alloHSCT), along with engraftment of transplanted cells with complete replacement of recipient hematopoiesis, i. e., full posttransplant chimerism. Among different approaches, molecular genetic techniques are preferable, being based on the analysis of highly polymorphic DNA sequences (short tandem repeats, STRs). However, this approach, despite its high specificity, has a limited sensitivity. In this regard, it seems appropriate to introduce more sensitive diagnostic solutions, in particular, analysis of insertion/deletion (InDel) polymorphisms, followed by real-time detection of PCR products. The data obtained upon analysis of several genetic markers have shown higher sensitivity of this method. However, the deviations in the range of 10 to 90 % in evaluation of the cell ratios indicates the feasibility of using this approach just to evaluate the residual populations of recipient cells.Ключевыми критериями эффективности аллогенной трансплантации гемопоэтических стволовых клеток (алло-ТГСК) являются снижение уровня минимальной остаточной болезни до неопределяемых значений и приживление трансплантируемых клеток с полным замещением гемопоэза реципиента – так называемым посттрансплантационным химеризмом. Среди многообразия применяемых методик определенными преимуществами обладают молекулярногенетические методы исследований, базирующиеся на анализе высокополиморфных участков ДНК – коротких тандемных повторов (short tandem repeats, STR). Однако данный подход, несмотря на высокую информативность, обладает ограниченной чувствительностью. В этой связи представляется целесообразным внедрение более чувствительных диагностических решений, в частности, анализа InDelполиморфизма, с последующим выявлением продуктов ПЦР в режиме реального времени. При анализе ряда маркеров были получены данные, свидетельствующие о более высокой чувствительности данного метода, однако наличие отклонений в оценке соотношений клеток в интервале от 10 до 90 % указывает на целесообразность использования данного подхода лишь при оценке остаточной популяции клеток реципиента
