Exact diagonalization results for an anharmonically trapped Bose-Einstein condensate
We consider bosonic atoms that rotate in an anharmonic trapping potential.
Using numerical diagonalization of the Hamiltonian, we identify the various
phases of the gas as the rotational frequency of the trap and the coupling
between the atoms are varied.Comment: 7 pages, RevTex, 10 figure
Mixtures of Bose gases under rotation
We examine the rotational properties of a mixture of two Bose gases.
Considering the limit of weak interactions between the atoms, we investigate
the behavior of the system under a fixed angular momentum. We demonstrate a
number of exact results in this many-body system.Comment: 4 pages, RevTex, 6 figure
Persistent currents in Bose gases confined in annular traps
We examine the problem of stability of persistent currents in a mixture of
two Bose gases trapped in an annular potential. We evaluate the critical
coupling for metastability in the transition from quasi-one to two-dimensional
motion. We also evaluate the critical coupling for metastability in a mixture
of two species as function of the population imbalance. The stability of the
currents is shown to be sensitive to the deviation from one-dimensional motion.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figure
Mixtures of Bose Gases Confined in a Ring Potential
The rotational properties of a mixture of two distinguishable Bose gases that
are confined in a ring potential provide novel physical effects that we
demonstrate in this study. Persistent currents are shown to be stable for a
range of the population imbalance between the two components at low angular
momentum. At higher values of the angular momentum, even small admixtures of a
second species of atoms make the persistent currents highly fragile.Comment: Final form of the published article, 4 pages, 2 figure

A comparative clinical study to evaluate the efficacy of Dashamoola Niruha Basti with Rasna-Erandadi Niruha Basti in the management of Gridhrasi vis~a~vis sciatica
Gridhrasi is one among Shoola Pradhana Vatavyadhi, mentioned under Vataja Nanatmaja Vyadhi.
Sciatica is defined as radiating pain along the course of sciatic nerve and is felt in the back, buttocks, posterior of the thighs, legs and foot caused due to disc protrusion, the nerve roots most frequently affected are L4, L5, and S1. The pain is severe, sharp and shooting type associated with other symptoms such as numbness, tingling sensation, weakness, and sensitivity to touch. The signs and symptoms of Gridhrasi are similar to sciatica. The present study is comparative clinical study with pre and post test design with sample size 50 subjects with 25 subjects in each group. The intervention of Group A was Katibasti, Dashamoola Niruha Basti in Yoga Basti pattern for first 8 days and Group B, Katibasti, Rasna Erandadi Niruha Basti in Yoga Basti pattern for first 8 days followed by Erandabija Payasa as Shamanaoushadi, both the groups for next 16 consecutive days. The results obtained on assessment parameters like Ruk, Stambha, SLR test, Bragard’s sign, and Functional ability scale value with the significance “P” value of 0.000 in the management of Gridhrasi vis-à -vis Sciatica. Hence, it was inferred that the selected intervention Group B (trial group) Rasna Erandadi Niruha Basti showed better results than Group A (control group) Dashamoola Niruha Basti in the management of Gridhrasi vis-à -vis Sciatica
