Side effects of phenobarbital and carbamazepine in childhood epilepsy: randomised controlled trial
Objective: To compare the behavioural side effects associated with two commonly used antiepilepsy drugs--phenobarbital and carbamazepine--in children in Bangladesh. Design: Prospective randomised controlled single centre trial. Setting: Specialist children's hospital in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Participants: 108 children aged 2-15 with generalised tonic-clonic (n=51) or partial and secondary generalised seizures (n=57). Main outcome measures: Seizure control and behavioural side effects. Results: 91 children were followed up for 12 months. Six required a change of antiepilepsy drug. Side effects were compared in 85 children. In the last quarter of the 12 month follow-up, 71 children were seizure free after one year's treatment. Thirty two in the phenobarbital group and 39 in the carbamazepine group had no seizures in 74 and 102 days after randomisation, respectively. Ten children had increased behavioural problems, which were unacceptable in four (one in the phenobarbital group and three in the carbamazepine group). Independent t tests, however, showed no difference between the two trial drugs. Conclusion: There was no excess in behavioural side effects with phenobarbital in children with epilepsy in a country with limited resources
Tanggung Jawab Hukum Para Pihak Dalam Pelaksanaan Perjanjian Sewa Menyewa Rumah Antara Perseorangan Dengan Badan Hukum
A house is a basic human need. There are people who have their own homes, but there are also people who only rent a house for temporary housing. It is undeniable that renting a house has become a natural thing in our society for both individuals and legal entities. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of a lease agreement between a person and a legal entity, to know the form and content of a lease agreement between an individual and a legal entity, and how the legal responsibilities of the parties in a lease agreement between an individual and a legal entity. This research is a descriptive study and normative juridical approach method. The results showed that the lease agreement between the individual and the legal entity is a manifestation of the opening of the contract law. And the legal responsibility of the parties is regarding the rights and obligations of both parties to the agreement, if the rights of the first party are the obligations of the second party and the rights of the second party are the obligations of the first party.

Gamma-Ray Spectroscopy in Lambda Hypernuclei
The present status of hypernuclear gamma-ray spectroscopy with Hyperball is
summarized. We observed two gamma transitions of 16-Lambda-O(1- -> 1-,0-) and
obtained the strength of the Lambda-N tensor force. In 10B(K-,pi- gamma) data,
we did not observe the spin-flip M1 transition of 10-Lambda-B(2- -> 1-), but
gamma rays from hyperfragments such as 7-Lambda-Li(7/2+ -> 5/2+) and
9-Lambda-Be(3/2+ ->1/2+) were observed. In 11B(pi+,K+ gamma) data, we observed
six gamma transitions of 11_Lambda-B. We also attempted an inclusive gamma-ray
measurement with stopped K- beam.Comment: 10 pages, 9 figures, 8th International Conference on Hypernuclear and

An update on C-reactive protein for intensivists.
This review aims to summarise the physiology of C-reactive protein (CRP), its possible roles and limitations as an inflammatory and infective marker in intensive care medicine, and also the emerging roles of CRP in the pathogenesis of cardiovascular and autoimmune diseases. Observational and animal studies on uses of CRP were retrieved from the PubMed database without any language restrictions. Quantitative data were not pooled because of the heterogeneity of patient characteristics and disparate ways in which CRP was studied. Serum CRP concentrations are determined by the synthetic rate of its production in the liver regulated predominantly by interleukin-6. It has a half-life of 19 hours and is relatively slow in its onset and offset in response to an acute inflammatory process when compared to procalcitonin. It has some favourable properties and limitations as an inflammatory marker. An elevated CRP concentration is not specific to infections and the absolute CRP concentrations cannot be used to differentiate between bacterial, fungal and severe viral infections. The dynamic response of CRP to therapy that aims to modify the underlying inflammatory process and the clinical context of a patient are of pivotal importance when CRP concentrations are interpreted. CRP is found to be a significant partaker and prognostic factor in a wide range of cardiovascular and chronic diseases. In summary, CRP concentration is an important prognostic factor of many acute and chronic diseases. Serial CRP measurements may be useful to reflect a patient's response to therapy that aims to modify the underlying inflammatory process
