Maxillary sinus antrostomy Pitfalls
Endoscopic sinus surgery which is the commonly performed nasal surgery has its own problems ifnot performed properly. Success of maxillay sinus antrostomy depends on including the naturalostium to the antrostomy. For this to happen the natural ostium should be identified during thesurgical procedure. Common cause of failure in endoscopic sinus surgery is the failure to addressthe uncinate process. In all cases it should be removed completely before proceeding further.
The Euler anomaly and scale factors in Liouville/Toda CFTs
The role played by the Euler anomaly in the dictionary relating sphere
partition functions of four dimensional theories of class and two
dimensional nonrational CFTs is clarified. On the two dimensional side, this
involves a careful treatment of scale factors in Liouville/Toda correlators.
Using ideas from tinkertoy constructions for Gaiotto duality, a framework is
proposed for evaluating these scale factors. The representation theory of Weyl
groups plays a critical role in this framework.Comment: 55 pages, 16 figures; v2:fixed referencing & typos ; v3: argument
about scale factors in Liouville/Toda now phrased in terms of stripped
correlators, leading to a sharper conjecture (earlier version had some
inaccurate statements). Presentation improved, typos fixed, refs added. I

Eosinophilic otitis media a literature review
Eosinophilic otitis media is actually a recent introduction. These patients may manifest with sudden hearing loss. There may be associated bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis. Diagnostic criteria of this condition are rather vague. A review of literature shows that demonstration of eosinophils in the middle ear secretion of these patients could be considered to be pathognomonic of this condition
Describing codimension two defects
Codimension two defects of the six dimensional theory
have played an important role in the understanding
of dualities for certain SCFTs in four dimensions. These
defects are typically understood by their behaviour under various dimensional
reduction schemes. In their various guises, the defects admit partial
descriptions in terms of singularities of Hitchin systems, Nahm boundary
conditions or Toda operators. Here, a uniform dictionary between these
descriptions is given for a large class of such defects in

Acknowledgement added. Notation simplified, refs added, minor fixes ; (v3)
Minor changes, version accepted in JHEP. I thank the referee for helpful

Proptosis due to otolaryngology causes a study
Proximity of orbit to nose and paranasal sinuses makes it rather vulnerable to insults due to otolaryngological causes. The medial wall of orbit (Lamina papyracea) is rather paper thin and ithappens to form the lateral wall of anterior ethmoid air cells. Infections / tumors involving paranasal sinuses can involve orbit also causing proptosis. The aim of the article is to study thecommon otolaryngological causes of proptosis in our Institution during 2009 – 2012.
