    This study’s objective was to confirm the viability of a dry eye (DE) rabbit model during and after administration of ophthalmic atropine sulfate (OAS) 1.0% in New Zealand white (NZW) rabbits. OAS 1.0% was applied three times per day (TID) to 30 eyes of 15 healthy NZW rabbits. Sacrifice, enucleation and lacrimal gland removal took place on days 15, 21, and 30 (OAS group).
