Light-cone Gauge NSR Strings in Noncritical Dimensions

Light-cone gauge NSR string theory in noncritical dimensions should correspond to a string theory with a nonstandard longitudinal part. Supersymmetrizing the bosonic case [arXiv:0909.4675], we formulate a superconformal worldsheet theory for the longitudinal variables X^{\pm}, \psi^{\pm}. We show that with the transverse variables and the ghosts combined, it is possible to construct a nilpotent BRST charge.Comment: 22 pages, 1 figur

Light-cone Gauge NSR Strings in Noncritical Dimensions II -- Ramond Sector

Light-cone gauge superstring theory in noncritical dimensions corresponds to a worldsheet theory with nonstandard longitudinal part in the conformal gauge. The longitudinal part of the worldsheet theory is a superconformal field theory called X^{\pm} CFT. We show that the X^{\pm} CFT combined with the super-reparametrization ghost system can be described by free variables. It is possible to express the correlation functions in terms of these free variables. Bosonizing the free variables, we construct the spin fields and BRST invariant vertex operators for the Ramond sector in the conformal gauge formulation. By using these vertex operators, we can rewrite the tree amplitudes of the noncritical light-cone gauge string field theory, with external lines in the (R,R) sector as well as those in the (NS,NS) sector, in a BRST invariant way.Comment: 33 pages; v2: minor modification

Different mechanism of two-proton emission from proton-rich nuclei 23^{23}Al and 22^{22}Mg

Two-proton relative momentum (qppq_{pp}) and opening angle (Ξpp\theta_{pp}) distributions from the three-body decay of two excited proton-rich nuclei, namely 23^{23}Al →\rightarrow p + p + 21^{21}Na and 22^{22}Mg →\rightarrow p + p + 20^{20}Ne, have been measured with the projectile fragment separator (RIPS) at the RIKEN RI Beam Factory. An evident peak at qpp∌20q_{pp}\sim20 MeV/c as well as a peak in Ξpp\theta_{pp} around 30∘^\circ are seen in the two-proton break-up channel from a highly-excited 22^{22}Mg. In contrast, such peaks are absent for the 23^{23}Al case. It is concluded that the two-proton emission mechanism of excited 22^{22}Mg is quite different from the 23^{23}Al case, with the former having a favorable diproton emission component at a highly excited state and the latter dominated by the sequential decay process

Fusion Rules of the Lowest Weight Representations of osp_q(1|2) at Roots of Unity: Polynomial Realization and Degeneration at Roots of Unity

The degeneracy of the lowest weight representations of the quantum superalgebra ospq(1∣2)osp_q(1|2) and their tensor products at exceptional values of %when deformation parameter qq takes exceptional values is studied. The main features of the structures of the finite dimensional lowest weight representations and their fusion rules are illustrated using realization of group generators as finite-difference operators acting in the space of the polynomials. The complete fusion rules for the decompositions of the tensor products at roots of unity are presented. The appearance of indecomposable representations in the fusions is described using Clebsh-Gordan coefficients derived for general values of qq and at roots of unity.Comment: 28 pages, 3 figures; completed (section 5, section 6); version published in JP

MEASUREMENT OF TWO-PROTON CORRELATION FROM THE BREAK-UP OF Al-23

Experiments of Al-23 and Mg-22 radioactive beams bombarding a C-12 target at an energy of 60 similar to 70 A MeV have been performed at the projectile fragment separator beamline (RIPS) in the RIKEN Ring Cyclotron Facility to study the two-proton emission from Al-23 and Mg-22 excited states, respectively. The trajectorie of the decay products, namely Na-21 + p + p from Al-23 and Ne-20 + p + p from Mg-22, are clean identified. The relative momentum and opening angle between two protons in the rest frame of three body decay channels are obtained by relativistic-kinematics reconstruction. The results demonstrate that there are some di-proton emission components from He-2 cluster for the excited Al-23 and Mg-22

An experiment of Mg-22 and Ne-20 beams bombarding on a C-12 target at an energy of 60 similar to 70 A MeV has been performed at the RIKEN projectile fragment separator (RIPS)in the RIKEN Ring Cyclotron Facility to study the two-proton correlated emission from Mg-22 and Ne-20 excited states. The two-protons momentum correlation functions have been obtained for Mg-22 and Ne-20, respectively. The trajectories of the Mg-22 decayed products (Ne-20 + p + p) were also measured to get the angular correlations between the two protons in Center of Mass of decaying system by relativistic-kinematics reconstruction. The results exhibit that Mg-22 has the features of He-2 cluster decay mechanism
