The Contribution of Criminal-Law Means to Saving the Sturgeon from the Danube and Black Sea
The protection of certain species of fauna and flora against overexploitation and rescuing some of them from extinction is mainly the concern of many institutions and organizations especially the NGOs. Among these species currently threatened with extinction include the wild sturgeons, ancient species, since the age of the dinosaurs. Given that Romania and Bulgaria are the only EU countries on whose territory there are populations of sturgeon breeders, in this study we aim rather at drawing an alarm signal in addition on the need of improving the juridical-criminal framework that would ensure the protection and rescue of sturgeons from extinction

Considerations on Preventing and Combating the Illegal Trafficking of Minors under the Current Economic and Financial Crisis
Due to its geographical position and the transition period from the recent years, Romania, among the countries in the close proximity, has experienced steady growth and a constant development of organized crime in all its forms, including human trafficking. Among them the most vulnerable is the child trafficking, because of the reduced possibilities to defend themselves, and they require a special and effective protection through legal instruments and law enforcement agencies. Currently, due to financial and economic crisis, the risk increases that a growing number of minors, with the increasing impoverishment, become an easy prey for trafficking networks. Preceding the current financial and economic crisis, Romania has already implemented most of the recommendations and provisions of the Council of Europe and European Union in the internal law with a modern legal and institutional system in preventing and combating trafficking persons, in the spirit of the European tendencies, the specialized institutions and departments and their staff are trained to a higher level

Internationally and especially between the member states of the European Union, the existing regulatory framework no longer responds to theses needs such as: online activities, digital economy, internet banking, etc., being increasingly obvious the tendency of fragmentation of the movement of personal data
