Superconductivity in doped FeTe1-xSx (x= 0.00 to 0.25) single crystals

We report self flux growth and characterization of FeTe1-xSx (x= 0.00 to 0.25) single crystal series. Surface X-ray diffraction (XRD) exhibited crystalline nature with growth in (00l) plane. Micro-structural (electron microscopy) images of representative crystals showed the slab-like morphology and near stoichiometric composition. Powder XRD analysis (Rietveld) of single crystals exhibited tetragonal structure with P4/nmm space group and decreasing a and c lattice parameters with increase in x. Electrical resistivity measurements (R-T) showed superconductivity with Tconset at 9.5K and 8.5K for x =0.10 and x =0.25 respectively. The un-doped crystal exhibited known step like anomaly at around 70K. Upper critical field Hc2(0), as calculated from magneto transport for x =0.25 crystal is around 60Tesla and 45Tesla in H//ab and H//c directions. Thermal activation energy [U0(H)] calculated for x =0.10 and 0.25 crystals followed weak power law, indicating single vortex pinning at low fields. Mossbauer spectra for FeTe1-xSx crystals at 300K and 5K are compared with non superconducting FeTe. Both quadrupole splitting (QS) and isomer shift (IS) for S doped crystals were found to decrease. Also at 5K the hyperfine field for x =0.10 superconducting crystal is decreased substantially from 10.6Tesla (FeTe) to 7.2Tesla. For x =0.25 crystal, though small quantity of un-reacted Fe is visible at room temperature, but unlike x =0.10, the low temperature (5K) ordered FeTe hyperfine field is nearly zero.Comment: 20 Pages Text + Figs: Accepted Mat. Feature based-Learning with Data Increasing for video Recommendation and Computing

Image content analysis is crucial for determining the reliability of a link between two videos. Video characteristics are increasingly being used in image and video representation as custom pre-trained picture and video convolutional neural networks become generally available. People also have limited access to video editing tools for a variety of reasons, such as ownership and privacy concerns. You don't need to go back to the source video data to use the refined features again. An affine transformation, for instance, can be used to map a well-studied function onto an unfamiliar domain. To do this, we use a unique triplet failure in conjunction with the re-learning strategy. We propose a contemporary data augmentation method that may be applied to functionality on various frames for videos as an alternative to employing specific motion data. Extensive testing on the well-known Hulu content-based Video Relevance challenge demonstrates the process's efficacy and provides solid evidence of state-of-the-art performance

Objective: The aim of the present work was to prepare and examine drug release of the oral controlled release microbeads using different curing agents by emulsification internal ionic gelation technique. Methods: Cross-linked alginate microbeads were prepared with different cross linking agents by using mucoadhesive properties. The formation and compatibility of microbeads were confirmed by compatibility studies. Prepared microbeads evaluated for encapsulated efficiency, micromeritic properties, drug loading, in vitro wash off studies, in vitro dissolution studies, drug release kinetics and stability studies Results: The in vitro drug release was influenced by both type of curing agents and type of polymers and no significant changes in characterization parameters was observed after 3 mo stability studies. The sustained release profile of optimized batch was found to be 99.66±0.18% in comparison to pure drug profile of 28.64±0.02% at 12 h release study. Results of both wash-off and in vitro studies suggests that batch (SF2) prepared with aluminium chloride has shown better mucoadhesive property. Drug release of optimized batch follows zero order with non fickian mechanism according to Korsmeyer-Peppas equation. Conclusion: The data suggest the use of simvastatin mucoadhesive cross linked microbeads to offer the potential for oral controlled drug delivery with improved gastric retention and capable to provide sustained drug release by using cross linking agents

Electro-Osmotic Flow of MHD Jeffrey Fluid in a Rotating Microchannel by Peristalsis: Thermal Analysis

    Get PDF
In this study, we examine the rotating and heat transfer on the peristaltic and electro-osmatic flow of a Jeffery fluid in an asymmetric microchannel with slip impact. A pressure gradient and anal axially imposed electric field work together to impact the electro-osmotic flow (EOF). Mathematical modeling is imported by employing the low Reynolds number and long wavelength approximation. The exact solution has been simplified for the stream function, temperature, and velocity distributions. The effects of diverse egress quantities on the gush virtue are exhibited and discussed with the help of graphs. The shear stress and trapping phenomena have been investigated. The characterization of results has been resolved for the flow governing ingrained appropriate parameters by employing the table. Our findings can be summarized as follows: (i) Debye length has a strong influence on the conducting viscous fluid of EOF in non-uniform micro-channel. (ii) The temperature field is enhanced through the elevated values of the rotation parameter and EOF. (iii) The shear stress has oscillatory behavior and the heat transmission rate increases with the magnitude of larger values of EOF. Finally, there is good agreement between the current results and those that have already been published. This model applies to the study of chemical fraternization/separation procedures and bio-microfluidic devices for the resolution of diagnosis

Background: This study aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of intramuscularly administered nalbuphine, butorphanol and pentazocine for post-operative pain relief after abdominal hysterectomy. Methods: Seventy-five adult female patients, aged between 20-50 years, belonging to American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) class 1 and 2, posted for abdominal hysterectomy under spinal anesthesia were included in the study. The subjects were randomly divided into 3 groups (n=25 each) and given – Group A: pentazocine lactate (30 mg, 1mL), Group B: butorphanol tartarate (2 mg, 1 ml) and Group C: nalbuphine hydrochloride (10 mg, 1 mL) when post-operative pain intensity reached ≥4 mm on the Visual analogue scale (VAS). The onset, duration, time to peak effect and adverse events were recorded at regular intervals for 24 hours, postoperatively. Results: The mean time to onset of anesthesia was significantly faster (P<0.05 each) in the nalbuphine (10.2±2.2 minutes) and butorphanol (11.3±2 minutes) groups when compared to the pentazocine group (14±2.7 minutes). Duration of analgesic action was significantly longer (P<0.05 each) in the nalbuphine (236.4±75.1 minutes) and butorphanol (202±59.2 minutes) groups when compared to the pentazocine group (177.4±55.3 minutes). No significant differences in respiratory and cardiovascular parameters were noted between the groups. Nausea and vomiting was seen significantly higher in the pentazocine group (36%) when compared to butorphanol (20%) and nalbuphine (8%) groups (p<0.05 each). Conclusions: Intramuscular nalbuphine and butorphanol provided effective analgesia with rapid onset and longer duration of action, with lower incidence of nausea and vomiting when compared to pentazocine. In particular, nalbuphine can be a suitable agent to provide post-operative pain relief in gynecologic lower abdominal surgery

Processing and Testing of Epoxy Polymer Composites using Tender Palm Shoot Fiber and Aluminium Particles as Hybrid Reinforcements

    Get PDF
Every year tons of plant and animal wastes are produced in the world. Some of these waste products may find some potential application in our day-to-day life. Also pure polymers are non-biodegradable and usually don’t possess requisite mechanical strength. For the first time, tender palm shoots are used as fiber reinforcement in the epoxy resin. The main objective is to compare and fabricate natural fiber reinforced hybrid epoxy composites with tender palm shoots, palymra fiber, as natural reinforcements which are generally leftovers and Aluminium powder as conductive filler by hand lay-up process at various weight percentages. Different mechanical properties, water absorption characteristics, flammability and electrical conductivity are evaluated as per ASTM standards. The test results show that these composites can be used as alternative materials for low tensile and high impact applications

Bulk viscosity in hyperonic star and r-mode instability

We consider a rotating neutron star with the presence of hyperons in its core, using an equation of state in an effective chiral model within the relativistic mean field approximation. We calculate the hyperonic bulk viscosity coefficient due to nonleptonic weak interactions. By estimating the damping timescales of the dissipative processes, we investigate its role in the suppression of gravitationally driven instabilities in the rr-mode. We observe that rr-mode instability remains very much significant for hyperon core temperature of around 10810^8 K, resulting in a comparatively larger instability window. We find that such instability can reduce the angular velocity of the rapidly rotating star considerably upto 0.04ΩK\sim0.04 \Omega_K, with ΩK\Omega_K as the Keplerian angular velocity.Comment: 10 pages including 7 figure
