    Concentration phase diagram of Ba(x)Sr(1-x)TiO3 solid solutions

    Method of derivation of phenomenological thermodynamic potential of solid solutions is proposed in which the interaction of the order parameters of constituents is introduced through the account of elastic strain due to misfit of the lattice parameters of the end-members. The validity of the method is demonstrated for Ba(x)Sr(1-x)TiO3 system being a typical example of ferroelectric solid solution. Its phase diagram is determined using experimental data for the coefficients in the phenomenological potentials of SrTiO3 and BaTiO3. In the phase diagram of the Ba(x)Sr(1-x)TiO3 system for small Ba concentration, there are a tricritical point and two multiphase points one of which is associated with up to 6 possible phases.Comment: 8 pages, 3 figure

    Spin exchange between charged paramagnetic particles in dilute solutions

Kinetic equations for the spin density matrix which take into account binary collisions and a method of calculating the spin exchange effective radius have been generalized to the case of dilute solutions of charged paramagnetic particles. The effective radius of the spin exchange and rate constant of the bimolecular spin exchange between charged paramagnetic particles in solutions have been calculated numerically. Calculations have been performed under the assumption that the exchange interaction is isotropic and decays exponentially with the increase in the distance between radicals, and the solution has a given dielectric permittivity and Debye screening radius. Dependences of the spin exchange rate constant on the mutual diffusion coefficient, exchange and electrostatic interactions parameters have been found numerically. The theory has been applied to experimental results taken from the literature. The rate constant of the spin exchange between radicals of like charge found from the experiment and calculated within the developed theory are in good qualitative agreement

    Solid-state 31P and 109Ag CP/MAS NMR as a powerful tool for studying of silver(I) complexes with N-thiophosphorylated thiourea and thioamide ligands

    A family of three- and four-coordinated silver(I) complexes of formulas [Ag(PPh3)2L], [Ag(PPh3)L], and [AgL]n with N-thiophosphorylated thiourea and thioamide ligands of general formula RC(S)NHP(S)(OPri)2 [R = Ph, PhNH, iPrNH, tBuNH, NH2] have been studied by solid-state 109Ag and 31P CPMAS NMR spectroscopy. 109Ag NMR spectra have provided valuable structural information about Ag coordination, which is in good accordance with the available crystal structure data. The data presented in this work represent a significant addition to the available 109Ag chemical shifts and chemical shifts anisotropies. The silver chemical shift ranges for different P,S-environments and coordination state were discussed in detail. The 1J(31P–107/109Ag) and 2J(31P–31P) values were determined and analyzed.     Introduction. An urgent issue facing contemporary medicine is the problem of cancer. According to official Russian Federation statistical data, of the 2,132,050 deaths recorded in 2015, 286,900 of them resulted from cancer. In this connection, an analysis of mortality due to malignant neoplasms of lymphatic and hematopoietic tissues is a relevant activity.Materials and methods. We analysed data showing the dynamic rate and structure of mortality from malignant neoplasms of lymphatic and haematopoietic tissues in the Republic of Bashkortostan both of the population as a whole and persons of working age. Data covering the period 2006–2015 was derived from the Federal State Statistics Service for the Republic of Bashkortostan.Results and discussion. As a result of the research, an increase in the overall intensive mortality rates from malignant neoplasms of lymphatic and haematopoietic tissues was noted along with an absence of significant differences between the indicators in the Republic of Bashkortostan and those for the Russian Federation as a whole. Our work has shown that malignant neoplasms of haematopoietic and lymphoid tissues are the leading medical and social problem of contemporary oncology.Conclusion. This work was carried out in order to identify the most common clinical cases of malignant tumours of haematopoietic and lymphoid tissue, as well as to predict the incidence and further planning of specialised haematological care to the population.Β Π’Π²Π΅Π΄Π΅Π½ΠΈΠ΅.     Introduction. Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) is a malignant clonal lymphoproliferative disorder characterised by the accumulation of atypical mature CD5/CD19/CD23-positive B lymphocytes, predominantly in blood, bone marrow, lymph glands, liver and spleen. Chemotherapy protocols with the inclusion of nucleotide analogues, alkylating drugs and monoclonal antibodies are currently the standard of treatment. FCR (fludarabine, cyclophosphamide, rituximab) is one of the most effective protocols. CLL may lead to various immunologic disorders resulting in an increased risk of a malignant neoplasm. This paper aims to present a demonstration of a case of the combination of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia and stomach cancer, and an attempt to establishΒ β€” based on literature dataΒ β€” a link between the diagnosed stomach adenocarcinoma and the main disease.Materials and methods. Authors have analysed the case history, laboratory and instrumental data and the treatment of aΒ patient with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia and stomach adenocarcinoma.Results and discussion. The patient E., 63 yo, was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia in 2016. The patient was started on FCR chemotherapy protocol (Fludarabine, 70 mg days 2-4 of CT, Endoxan 500 mg days 2-4 of the cycle, Rituximab 700 mg day 1 od CT) in June 2018. When the patient came to the BSMU hospital for a chemotherapy cycle in August 2018, gastric endoscopy was performed; tissue pathology examination resulted in the diagnosis of stomach adenocarcinoma. A concilium of surgeons, oncologists and haematologists made a decision to perform a gastrectomy with the oesophageal resection and Roux anastomosis.Conclusion. Having used a clinical case as an example and reviewed available literature, the authors have demonstrated that either CLL or the immunosuppressed status served as the causal factors for the development of the adenocarcinoma. The development of stomach adenocarcinoma in patients with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia makes the course and outcome of the main disease much more severe. A decision regarding the management strategy for such patients has to make individually every time, taking into account the severity of the oncological disease; this impacts on the choice of the treatment protocol. All the cases of spontaneous remissions in patients with lymphocytic leukaemia must be screened extensively in order to facilitate early diagnosis of malignant neoplasms.Π’Π²Π΅Π΄Π΅Π½ΠΈΠ΅.     Introduction. A number of researchers point at a direct connection between mutations of genes affecting the haemostasisΒ system and risks of venous thromboembolism and / or infertility. Quite often,Β  a thrombophilia diagnosis is a result ofΒ overdiagnosis, which may lead to ungrounded and evenΒ  dangerous medical prescriptions. In this context, the key goalΒ of this work was to analyse theΒ  homeostasis system in women with recurrent pregnancy loss and establishes the causesΒ of this phenomenon.Materials and methods. Over the course of this work, we analysed 79 women in various stages of pregnancy who wereΒ receiving treatment in the Pregnancy Pathology Department of the BSMU Clinic. We analysed their medical histories,Β Body Mass Indexes (BMI), polymorphisms of haemostasis system genes and thrombosis risk factors.Results and discussion. BMI analysis found normal body mass in 39 patients (49.4 %) and excessive body mass in 40 patientsΒ (50.6 %). F2 and F5 gene polymorphisms were almost entirely absent. ITGA2Β  and ITGB3 gene mutations wereΒ found in the patients analysed in 48.1 % and 17.7 % of the cases,Β  respectively. PAI-1 gene mutations were found in 84.8 %Β of cases. MTR and MTRR gene polymorphismsΒ  were detected in 35.4 % and 81.0 % of the patients, respectively. MTHFRΒ mutations were found in more than 40 % of the patients.Conclusion. Obesity and hereditary thrombophilia are primary factors in venous thromboembolism. Body weight lossΒ and antithrombotic therapy reduce risk obstetric complications, improving prognosis and pregnancy outcomes.Π’Π²Π΅Π΄Π΅Π½ΠΈΠ΅.     Corporoplasty in Peyronie’s Disease: a Literature Review

    Corporoplasty is urological correction surgery for penile deviation that causes copulatory dysfunction or aesthetic discomfort. Penile deviation can be congenital or acquired (Peyronie’s disease, penile fracture). Congenital penile deviation is relatively rare and manifests in the curvature of erect penis ventrally and/or laterally, in most cases. According to many studies, patients with curvatures of 30Β° or more eventually seek surgical treatment. Congenital curvature may be mistaken for Peyronie’s disease for similar manifestations that, however, differ in aetiology and pathophysiology. Excisional, incisional corporoplasty or plication are commonly engaged to treat congenital curvatures, in various techniques and modifications. Augmentation transplantation (grafting) and penile prosthesis implantation with variant deviation treatment options are the usual practice in Peyronie’s disease. Unequivocal judgment of pros and cons in any particular technique is nevertheless implausible to make.     Changes of haematological and biochemical indices depending on the nosological entities of occupational diseases and the gender were analyzed in workers of chemical complex. Changes of these indices depending on the gender identity were revealed in workers with skin hyperkeratinization at the conduction of medical examination. Eosinophilia, lymphocytosis and leukopenia were revelaed in men with hyperkeratinization, increase of hemoglobin quantity and leukopenia were revealed in women with hyperkeratinization.
