Optimal progressive classification study using SMOTE-SVM for stages of lung disease
Data used in big data applications are typically kept in decentralized computing resources in the real world, which has an impact on the design of artificial intelligence algorithms. When there are significantly more observations from one class than from another, the dataset is said to be imbalanced. Therefore, in this work, the study elaborates the model as SMOTE-SVM which resolves imbalance issues in sampling the data and improves overall accuracy to 94%. The model deploys K-nearest neighbours to compute the difference between samples and to balance the samples, it computes the kernel space. Further, to optimize the classification, GWO optimizer merges with SMOTE-SVM to achieve enhanced performance. GWO (Grey Wolf Optimizer) induces greedy selection to perform optimization among classification. It is important to remember that grey wolves have a flexible social structure that might change the hierarchy. As the mobilization continues, the grey wolves are reconstructed with the distance between them and their prey, or more specifically, in accordance with the resultant value of the fitness. In addition, to prove the efficiency, the following performance metrics are measured-Overall Accuracy, Classification Accuracy, AUC and ROC
A record of sun fish Mola mola from coastal waters at Veraval
Fishes belonging to the family Molidae, commonly
called as ocean sun fishes or head fishes and known
as 'Kakhida' locally, are frequently observed in the
trawl net landings at Bhidia fish landing centre of Veraval,
mostly during the post-winter months
Attention estimation by simultaneous analysis of viewer and view
Abstract тАФ This paper introduces a system for estimating the attention of a driver wearing a first person view camera using salient objects to improve gaze estimation. A challenging data set of pedestrians crossing intersections has been captured using Google Glass worn by a driver. A challenge unique to first person view from cars is that the interior of the car can take up a large part of the image. The proposed system automatically filters out the dashboard of the car, along with other parts of the instrumentation. The remaining area is used as a region of interest for a pedestrian detector. Two cameras looking at the driver are used to determine the direction of the driverтАЩs gaze, by examining the eye corners and the center of the iris. This coarse gaze estimation is then linked to the detected pedestrians to determine which pedestrian the driver is focused on at any given time. I
Exploitation of the non-conventional bullseye fishery resource in Karnataka
The estimated average all India marine fish
landings during 2012-2016 was 36,71,651 t. Of late,
the catch of priacanthids has increased in
commercial landings all along Indian coast. The
bullseye contribution to the total production which
was 0.3% in 2011 increased to 3.6% during 2016 and
increased by two times from an annual average
23,031 t (2007-2011) to 45,544 t in 2012-2016.
Nearly 94% production was from the west coast
Practice of hooks and line fishery off Satpathi waters, Maharashtra
In trawler boats the fishermen utilize manually operated hooks and line using cephalopods, ribbon fishes, mackerel and other fishes caught in the trawl nets as baits. Trawl nets and hooks and line were employed alternatively and the operation reached a peak in the period from October to January and in the "Mahashivarathri" season. Average catch per boat for the following season (October 1997- January 1998) varied from 200 to 1,000 kg and mainly comprised S.commersoni, Thunnus tonggol and Euthynnus ajfinis along with a few numbers of Epinephelus spp., Rachycentron canadus and P, diacanthus
Record of sunfish Mola mola, landed at Malpe Fisheries Harbour, Karnataka
A sunfish Mola mola belonging to family Molidae (Order Tetraodontiform) was landed
at Malpe Fisheries Harbour by a multi-day trawler on 7th January 2006
Note on chank fishery in Gulf of Kutch, Gujarat
The Sacred chank, Xancus pyrum var. acuta (Bolten)
is exploited commercially from the intertldal and
reef habitat in the Gulf of Kutch along the Jamnagar
District. Fishery is mostly done by hand picking at low
tides in the intertldal zones
Mapping of fishery resources in trawling grounds along the Malabar-Konkan coast
Two categories of bottom trawl units are in operation
along the Malabar-Konkan coast. The first category
comprises of small boats (<9.75 m OAL) conducting
daily trips operating trawl nets with codend mesh size
of 10-20 mm and catch generally prawns, flatfishes
and other finfishes

Wealth from waste-utilisation of fish waste for production of biogas
A biogas unit was installed in the premises of Mangalore Research Centre of CMFRI
during November, 2016 in order to utilize the fish waste generated from the biological
analysis done in the lab. This biogas unit installed is first of its kind in the state to
utilize fish waste. A unit was installed gainfully utilizing the fish waste generated
after the biological analysis of fish. Disposal of the fish waste generated periodically
at the Research Centre during sampling made for biological studies was becoming
difficult. However, with the installation of the biogas unit- designed and supplied by
private manufacturer in Kerala, solved the disposal problem of fish waste
