The specimens plated by different cladding procedures (hot rolling, submerged arc welding surfacing using strip electrode (SAW) and explosion welding) were heat treated by annealing (650 ºC through 2 hours). Charpy impact energy testing, as well as shear strength testing of clad joints were performed. Testing results indicated significance of cladding procedure and determined heat treatment infl uences on stated mechanical properties.Uzorci platirani različitim postupcima platiranja (toplim valjanjem, elektrolučnim postupkom navarivanja pod prahom elektrodnom trakom (EPP) i eksplozijskim zavarivanjem) toplinski su obrađivani žarenjem (650 ºC tijekom 2 sata).

The procedure of welding by explosion is as technical optimal solution of ship-shell parts joining frequently used in shipbuilding industry at transition three-metal joint: AlMg4.5-Al-St.52-3 working out. The investigations of mechanical and metallographic properties of joints, exposed on heat treatment at different temperatures levels, are performed. The results of mechanical and metallographic examinations of transition joints at elevated temperatures, direct on its use below 300 °C. The additional melting welding working out is in closeness of explosion- welded joint allowed.

Effect of solution annealing on properties of used reformer centrifugally casted tubes prior to repair by welding

The specimens of damaged tubes, ASTM A297 HK 40, are repaired by welding. Before repairing, solution annealing is used as a procedure for properties restitution. This paper explores the influence of used solution annealing procedure (1 050 şC / 2h) on mechanical and micro-structural properties. The emphasis is put on specific procedures at repair by welding

The influence of applied explosion joining parameters on the structure and strength of three-metal joints: Zr-Ti-Steel is analyzed in this paper. Zirconium was explosively clad on steel over an inter-layer of titanium. Zirconium-titanium-steel joint is produced during simultaneous cladding operation using a single cladding shot and plan parallel joining scheme. The metallographic analysis of interfaces Zr/Ti and Ti/Steel structures and microhardness measuring are performed. Mechanical testing of bond strength is performed on both interfaces by shear strength examinations.U radu je analiziran utjecaj primijenjenih parametara spajanja eksplozijom na strukturu i čvrstoću troslojnog spoja: Cirkonij/Titan/Čelik. Čelik je eksplozijski platiran cirkonijem preko međusloja titana. Troslojni spoj: Zr/Ti/Čelik, proizveden je istovremenim postupkom platiranja- uporabom jedne detonacije i plan-paralelne sheme spajanja.

The influence of heat treatment by annealing on clad plates residual stresses

The influence of applied clad procedure as well as heat treatment by annealing (650 °C/2h) on level and nature of residual stresses was researched. Three clad procedures are used i.e. hot rolling, submerged arc welding (SAW) with strip electrode and explosion welding. The relaxed deformation measurement on clad plate surfaces was performed by applying centre-hole drilling method using special measuring electrical resistance strain gauges (rosettes). After performed measuring, size and nature of residual stresses were determined using analytical method. Depending of residual stresses on depth of drilled blind-hole is studied
