Sensory Changes in Adults with Unilateral Transtibial Amputation
The purpose of this study was to describe the sensory changes in adults with unilateral transtibial amputation
(TTA), as any loss of sensation may have significant impact on the successful use of a prosthesis. Sensory modalities of light touch, deep pressure, vibration, and superficial pain (pinprick) were examined on the residual and contralateral limbs of 16 veterans with TTA. Six subjects demonstrated normal sensation on the contralateral limb and impaired sensation of superficial pain, vibration, and/or light touch on the residual limb. Superficial pain was the most frequently impaired sensation, and vibration and superficial pain sensation appeared to be age-dependent, with increased impairment observed in the elderly. Deep pressure sensation was intact in all subjects. These preliminary data suggest that although neither the amputation nor the prosthetic rehabilitation resulted in impaired deep pressure sensation, these two factors contributed to minimal impairment of light touch and vibration, and significant impairment of the superficial pain sensation

From the design result dimensions of the primary beam B1 (35/70), B2 (37,50/75), B3 (50/100) 30/40 and dimensions of the secondary beam B4 (35/65), B5 (35/65), B6 (35/65), and B7 (35/70) with thickness of slabs is 150 mm. Whereas, dimension of the primary beam at dak is 30/45 and 25/40 for secondary beam with thickness of slabs is 150 mm. The thickness of shearwall is 35 mm The diameter of pile foundation is used in this building is 70 cm with a length of 38 meters. The foundation is divided into 4 types where each type has a number of piles as much as 11 to 22 piles
Friction and asperity contact in strip rolling
This paper reviews different aspects of friction and asperity contacts in strip rolling. The mixed film lubrication model considers the effect of asperity flattening and the lubrication within the working zone. The oil concentration of the emulsion at entry and throughout the roll bite is considered together with the thermal effects of the contacts. The actual area of contact due to asperity deformation can be determined from a 3-wavelength FEM model. The deformation of a randomly generated surface of the hot strip with oxide scale can also be modeled by an FEM method. The friction variation in the roll bite can be determined by a sensor roll, and the average friction determined from the forward slip by the marking method or laser Doppler method. The friction models in FEM modeling are also discussed
Redesign Corporate Identity Sebagai Peningkatan Image Perusahaan Studi Kasus PT. Finansia Multi Finance
The era of globalization brings two effects, on the one hand can increase the opportunities in the field of employment, on the other side of the business world increasingly keen competition and tight. Therefore, it needs the right strategy for success in the business world. In marketing the product until now the company has been using various forms of media support facilities include: media banners, xbanner, brochures, stickers products and supported other visual media used by the company. But the company realized that a competitor with a similar type of business more and more, and also continues to grow. The problems increase with the identity of the old logo is not in accordance with the vision and mission as well as management targets. From the condition the company calls for the renewal of the corporate identity to build the image and identity is formed through the overall appearance of design in any media promotional campaign as a support program in order to further enhance the attractiveness to prospective customers. Analysis of problems derived from interviews with Branch Operation Manager PT. Finansia Multi Finance relating to the design of corporite identity redesign. The end result of this research is the manufacture of Graphic Standards Manual that is intended for the manufacture of the logo as a corporate identity of a company systematically arranged, and there is no error of perception / view in the application of the logo on any existing media include media banners, xbanner, brochures, stickers products and supported other visual media used by the company. With the redesign of the design coorporite identity at PT. Finansia Multi Finance, is expected to reinforce the existence and increase consumer purchasing power against PT. Finansia Multi Finance itself
Perancangan Ruas Jalan Akses Ke Terminal Peti Kemas Pelabuhan Tanjung Emas
Pelindo III in 2015 was to improve the infrastructure in the port of Tanjung Emas in order to enhance the activities of loading and unloading of goods export import, as appropriate based RIP (Port Master Plan) Tanjung Emas Semarang in 2030, as well as to support ARTG. RIP in accordance with the construction of road access to the container terminal is a top priority for improving the infrastructure in ports of Tanjung Emas. Segment planned access road will have to be in the area of container terminal. Planning the access road to the container terminal is planned by the method of Britsh Standard and Highways with a path length of 925 m, which starts from STA 0 + 000 who are on the road coster port of Tanjung Emas and ends at STA 0 + 925 is the area CY1 (Countainer Yard 1) container terminal. Planned traffic lanes 2 lanes one way, without the median, without the shoulder of the road, a width of the road 10 m, side channel 1 m, with a design speed of 60 km/h
Analisis Kondisi Bonding Antar Lapisan Beraspal Secara Teoritis Dan Pengujian Di Laboratorium
The condition of bonding between asphalt pavement layer can influence the behaviour of pavement structure in supporting vehicle loading. In strong bonding condition, the adjacent pavement layers will act together to support pavement loading and the other way in weak bonding condition the layers will act independently with the result that stress in every layer of pavement become higher and will decrease pavement life consequently. This study described the investigation of bonding condition using teorethical model and laboratory test. Those are developed using CIRCLY5-SAP2000 Program and Modified Direct Shear Test respectively. The results shown that there is the range of bonding parameter which starting from weak bonding until full bonding using theoretical and laboratory model. Futhermore the analysis shown that ignoring bonding condition between pavement layer will become one of factors which cause early damage in pavement structure
Some Properties of Green's Matrix of Nonlinear Boundary Value Problem of First Order Differential
This paper discusses Green's matrix of nonlinear boundary value problem of first-order differential system with rectangular coeffisients, especially about its properties. In this case, the differential equation of the form with boundary conditions of the form and which is a real matrix with whose entries are continuous on and . , are nonsingular matrices such that and are constant vectors. To get the Green's matrix and the assosiated generalized Green's matrix, we change the boundary condition problem into an equivalent differential equation by using the properties of the Moore-Penrose generalized inverse, then its solution is found by using method of variation of parameters. The last we prove that the defined matrices satisfy the properties of green's function. The result is the corresponding the Green's matrix and the assosiated generalized Green's matrix have the property of Green's functions with the jump-discontinuity
Modification of Flow Structure Over a Van Model by Suction Flow Control to Reduce Aerodynamics Drag
Automobile aerodynamic studies are typically undertaken to improve safety and increase fuel efficiency as well as to find new innovation in automobile technology to deal with the problem of energy crisis and global warming. Some car companies have the objective to develop control solutions that enable to reduce the aerodynamic drag of vehicle and significant modification progress is still possible by reducing the mass, rolling friction or aerodynamic drag. Some flow control method provides the possibility to modify the flow separation to reduce the development of the swirling structures around the vehicle. In this study, a family van is modeled with a modified form of Ahmed\u27s body by changing the orientation of the flow from its original form (modified/reversed Ahmed body). This model is equipped with a suction on the rear side to comprehensively examine the pressure field modifications that occur. The investigation combines computational and experimental work. Computational approach used a commercial software with standard k-epsilon flow turbulence model, and the objectives was to determine the characteristics of the flow field and aerodynamic drag reduction that occurred in the test model. Experimental approach used load cell in order to validate the aerodynamic drag reduction obtained by computational approach. The results show that the application of a suction in the rear part of the van model give the effect of reducing the wake and the vortex formation. Futhermore, aerodynamic drag reduction close to 13.86% for the computational approach and 16.32% for the experimental have been obtained
