Unsur-unsur Intrinsik Cerita Pendek “Protes” Karya Putu Wijaya
The purpose of the research is to get an idea of the elements of the literary work which is contained in the short stories of protest. To analyze the intrinsic elements are used structural approach according to Teeuw (1984) research results obtained among others. 1. The main theme of the short story is social criticism 2. The short story flows are confidential 3. The time background of the place plays well. It can be concluded that the relationship between the elements in the short story "Protest" well established.
Nuclear Effects in Neutrino Induced Coherent Pion Production at K2K and MiniBooNE Neutrino Energies
The coherent pion production induced by neutrinos in nuclei is studied using
a delta hole model in local density approximation taking into account the
renormalization of properties in a nuclear medium. The pion absorption
effects have been included in an eikonal approximation. These effects give a
large reduction in the total cross section. The numerical results for the total
cross section are found to be consistent with recent experimental results from
K2K and MiniBooNE collaborations and other older experiments in the
intermediate energy region.Comment: 4pages, 5figure
Distance and Similarity Measures for Soft Sets
In [P. Majumdar, S. K. Samanta, Similarity measure of soft sets, New
Mathematics and Natural Computation 4(1)(2008) 1-12], the authors use matrix
representation based distances of soft sets to introduce matching function and
distance based similarity measures. We first give counterexamples to show that
their Definition 2.7 and Lemma 3.5(3) contain errors, then improve their Lemma
4.4 making it a corllary of our result. The fundamental assumption of Majumdar
et al has been shown to be flawed. This motivates us to introduce set
operations based measures. We present a case (Example 28) where
Majumdar-Samanta similarity measure produces an erroneous result but the
measure proposed herein decides correctly. Several properties of the new
measures have been presented and finally the new similarity measures have been
applied to the problem of financial diagnosis of firms.Comment: 14 pages, accepted manuscript, to appear in New Mathematics and

A note on “Taylor–Couette flow of a generalized second grade fluid due to a constant couple”
In this brief note, we show that the unsteady flow of a generalized second grade fluid due to a constant couple, as well as the similar flow of Newtonian and ordinary second grade fluids, ultimately becomes steady. For this, a new form of the exact solution for velocity is established. This solution is presented as a sum of the steady and transient components. The required time to reach the steady-state is obtained by graphical illustrations
JMASM 57: Bayesian Survival Analysis of Lomax Family Models with Stan (R)
An attempt is made to fit three distributions, the Lomax, exponential Lomax, and Weibull Lomax to implement Bayesian methods to analyze Myeloma patients using Stan. This model is applied to a real survival censored data so that all the concepts and computations will be around the same data. A code was developed and improved to implement censored mechanism throughout using rstan. Furthermore, parallel simulation tools are also implemented with an extensive use of rstan
Muon Pair Production by Electron-Photon Scatterings
The cross section for muon pair productions by electrons scattering over
photons, , is calculated analytically in the leading order. It is
pointed out that for the center-of-mass energy range, ,
the cross section for is less than b. The differential
energy spectrum for either of the resulting muons is given for the purpose of
high-energy neutrino astronomy. An implication of our result for a recent
suggestion concerning the high-energy cosmic neutrino generation through this
muon pair is discussed.Comment: a comment added, to appear in Phys. Rev. D, Rapid Communicatio
Recent advances in closure of atrial septal defects and patent foramen ovale
Transcatheter closure of secundum atrial septal defect (ASD) and patent foramen ovale (PFO) is now widely accepted as an alternative to surgical closure. With currently available devices and techniques, approximately 80-90% of secundum ASDs and all PFOs can be closed percutaneously. While many devices are available, the use of any particular device is dictated largely by individual defect anatomy, device availability, long-term considerations, approval status (US Food and Drug Administration approval versus CE mark), and physician preference
Effect of NaCl Salinity on Growth, Nodulation and Total Nitrogen Content in Sesbania Sesban
A pot experiment was conducted to determine the effect of salinity on growth nodulation and nitrogen content of Sesbania sesban. Fifteen days old S. sesban seedlings grown in sandy loam soil were irrigated with NaCl solution of 0.034 mol/L, 0.069 mol/L, 0.103 mol/L, 0.137 mol/L and 0.172 mol/L. The plants were harvested after 80 days. Fresh and dry weight of shoots and roots and root- shoot ratio decreased progressively with the increasing salinity levels. Root showed more inhibition than shoot. Nodules were observed on the roots of plants growing in all fi ve salinity levels but they showed morphological alterations in size and shape. The number and size of the nodules per plant and their fresh and dry weight decreased with increasing salinity levels. The percentage of tissue nitrogen also decreased progressively with the increasing salinity levels
Obscure Gastrointestinal Bleed from a Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor in a Jejunal Diverticulum: A Rare Case Report
We present a case of small bowel diverticulum with gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST). This GIST in the diverticulum was confirmed by immunohistochemistry and was of low-grade malignant potential
