Constructing Self Awareness Using Education Human Value In School Culture

The big number of poverty in Indonesia impact to the hope of having  a free learning service, especially education for early age and elementary school  students  from  the less fortunate families. Many people usually ask the quality of such kinds of free of charge  schools. The low price makes a low standard for the students. Denpasar Sathya Sai School has proven that the free learning service does not mean the standard quality of the school is low. Using a qualitative approach, this case study was conducted at the Denpasar Sathya Sai School, which has distinctive characteristics. The data were extracted through in-depth observation of the learning activities and learning environment of children in school and FGD (focus group discussion) with classroom teachers, school of kindergarten head, principal of elementary school, foundation and parents. Sebaran Dugaan Gas Biogenik Berdasarkan Hasil Penafsiran Rekaman Strata Box di Perairan Tanjung Pontang-Banten

Penelitian gas biogenik di perairan Tanjung Pontang dan sekitarnya menerapkan metode geofisika menggunakan alat akustik (strata box). Keberadaan gas biogenik dalam rekaman akustik, dicirikan oleh tidak adanya gambaran pantul dalam (free reflector), dan menampakan warna hitam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan sumber daya energi alternatif, berupa gas biogenik untuk dapat dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat di sekitar daerah penelitian. Hasil penafsiran rekaman strata box, kemudian runtunan yang diperkirakan mengandung gas biogenik diplot dalam peta lintasan. Hasil penafsiran menunjukkan bahwa akumulasi gas biogenik terdapat di kedalaman 2.5 meter pada lintasan 3 (L-3), di kedalaman 10.0 meter pada lintasan 7 (L-7), dan di kedalaman 5.0 meter pada lintasan 3 (L-3). Biogenic gas research in Tanjung Pontang and its surrounding waters applied geophysic method of acoustic equipment (strata box). Occurrences of biogenic gas in the acoustic records were characterized by no internal reflection patterns (free reflector), and black colour appearance. The research was meant to utilize alternative energy resources, biogenic gas for local community surround the gas deposits. Results on strata box interpretation, then plotted on ship track map of its possible biogenic gas bearing sequences. It indicates that biogenic gas is accumulated in 2.5 meter depth on the 3 (L-3) track, in 10.0 meter depth on the 7 (L-7) track, and in 5.0 meter depth on the 3 (L-3) track. Proses Pertumbuhan Delta Baru Sungai Cimanuk Hingga Tahun 2002, Di Pantai Timur Kabupaten Indramayu, Jawa Barat

Kawasan garis pantai timur kabupaten Indramayu ditutupi oleh endapan aluvium yang cukup luas. Proses sedimentasi pada garis pantai saat ini masih berlangsung, disebabkan oleh sungai Cimanuk yang bermuara di daerah ini. Sungai tersebut membawa material sedimen dalam jumlah besar. Sedimen ini tersebar di L. Jawa dan diendapkan kembali di garis pantai, yang mengakibatkan pantai timur Indramayu mengalami akrasi dan membentuk delta. Tahun 1947 aliran sungai Cimanuk mengalami Perubahan, salah satu bagian aliran sungai mengalir ke arah utara-timur, jalan terdekat menuju garis pantai membentuk delta baru dengan tipe telapak kaki burung (birdfoot-type delta). Kandungan lumpur sungai Cimanuk dapat mencapai rata-rata 53,6 juta ton/tahun, akibatnya kawasan muara sungai Cimanuk mengalami pendangkalan (akresi) yang sangat cepat dan luas. Proses pendangkalan ini dapat dipantau dari Perubahan garis pantai sejak tahun 1947 hingga 2002 melalui penginderaan jauh citra satelit. Kata kunci : sedimentasi, garis pantai, akresi, delta dan lumpur. The east coast of the Indramayu District is covered by a widely spread alluvial deposit. The sedimentation process is still continuing caused by the drainage of the Cimanuk River flowing to the east coast. This river carries away a huge number of the sediment materials. This material, being widely distributed in Jawa sea water and are redeposited on the coastal zone, causing the east coast of Indramayu accreting and forming delta. In 1947 the drainage of the Cimanuk River has changed, one of the tributary is running away to the north-east direction, which is the shortest way to the coastline, and forming a new birdfoot type delta. The mud material of the Cimanuk River can reach approximately 53.6 million ton/year, consequently, the mouth of the Cimanuk River has rapidly and widely shallowed. Antioxidant Capacity Of Frangipani (Plumeria Alba) Powder Extract

This research aimed to identify the antioxidant capacity, vitamin C (ascorbic acid), and total phenolic compounds of frangipani flower powder. The powder was extracted using ethanol, methanol, acetic acid, and water (aquadest). Antioxidant capacity of each extract were determined using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging method, vitamin C were determined using 2,4 Dinitrophenylhydrazine, and total phenolic compounds were determined using Folin Ciocalteu reagent. All of parameters were measured by spectrofotometer. The result shows that the highest value of antioxidant capacity was ethanolic extract (18.19%) and the lowest value was acetic acid extract (12.74%). The highest value of vitamin C was aqueous extract (3.49 mg/100g) and the lowest value was acetic acid extract (3.02 mg/100g). The highest value of total phenolic content was aqueous extract (25.49 mg GAE/g) and the lowest value was acetic acid extract (22.74 mg GAE/g). In conclusion, the higher antioxidant capacity was not always followed by the higher of vitamin C and total phenolic compounds
