    Averages of b-hadron, c-hadron, and tau-lepton Properties

This article reports world averages for measurements of b-hadron, c-hadron, and tau-lepton properties obtained by the Heavy Flavor Averaging Group (HFAG) using results available at least through the end of 2009. Some of the world averages presented use data available through the spring of 2010. For the averaging, common input parameters used in the various analyses are adjusted (rescaled) to common values, and known correlations are taken into account. The averages include branching fractions, lifetimes, neutral meson mixing parameters, CP violation parameters, and parameters of semileptonic decays.Comment: version 3: 288 pages, 167 tables, 86 figures, updated b-hadron production fractions, A_sl in Bs decays, and tau chapter result

Experimental prospects forBphysics and discrete symmetries at LHC and future projects

    No full text
The experimental prospects for B physics (with brief mentions of charm and Ï„ physics) at the Large Hadron Collider experiments are reviewed, with particular attention to the LHCb experiment. The main focus is on CP (a)symmetry, though the usefulness of rare decays to probe the symmetries of nature is also discussed. The need for upgrades and new facilities to continue the investigations beyond the first few years of LHC operations is emphasised
