La consistencia de los relatos históricos

El objetivo del siguiente trabajo es contestar la pregunta: ¿Por qué puede haber varias historias tan diferentes acerca de un tema que parecen válidas todas? Esta pregunta se sustenta en el estudio analítíco filosófico que hace Danto de la historia: "The identical event may indeed be a constituent in any number of different temporal structures. E may be co!lected with any number of otherwise disjointed collections of events into distinct temporal wholes. Thus, our description of E may accordingly vary as we group it with different collections of events into different temporal structures" (Danto, C. A. 1965. Pág. 167). La respuesta que se otorga es porque lógicamente todas las historias consistentes son válidas. Todo relato histórico tiene como consecuencia lógíca un momento posterior que es el que pretende explicar.Por tanto, se entenderá que son válidas porque son consistentes. Lo que desarrollará a continuación son las ideas de consistencia y justificación de la historia. obstante, puesto que la consistencia de un relato histórico puede confundirse con algunas otras propiedades del mismo, debe considerarse que lo que se escriba acerca de la idea histórica tan sólo es una herramienta para contrastar la idea de consistencia de cualquier otra propiedad, con el fin de señalar los limites y el rango de aplicación del criterio de consistencia; para calificar a un relato históric
