Exergetic analysis of the biogas plant based on waste livestock waste BGU-100

As a result of the exergy analysis of the BSU-100, the weakest, from the point of view of effectiveness, links were identified and ways of improving the process were suggested. The exergic efficiency is more revealing than the energy efficiency, since it takes into account both the properties of the system itself and the environment. When the BSU-100 operates under all favorable conditions, thermal efficiency reaches 0.91.

Cross-subject integration of biology and ecology in course work

The aggravation of the ecological situation on a global scale has led to the need for greening all areas, i.e. to the need to take into account the laws and requirements of ecology - in all sciences, production and in all human activities. However, ecology as a subject does not exist in the modern Russian school. The interdisciplinary optional course "Omsk Region - My Native Land" helps the children to broaden their horizons and gain knowledge about their region, about basic environmental concepts and patterns. The developed elective is an integrated course that incorporates the foundations of various disciplines of the natural science cycle. The purpose of the optional course is to motivate schoolchildren to acquire new knowledge in the field of ecology, biology and geography based on regional content, to stimulate and organize educational and research activities; to form ecological thinking and ecological culture among students of the basic school. Increasing the level of ecological culture of students in the process of formation of systemic natural science knowledge and familiarization with educational and research activities

Acidic and Catalytic Properties of Mo-Containing Zeolite Catalysts for Non-Oxidative Methane Conversion

    Get PDF
The conversion of methane into benzene, toluene and naphthalene at the reaction temperature of 750 В°C and gas hourly space velocity (GHSV) of 500-1500 h-1 over zeolites modified via impregnation with ammonium heptamolybdate and mechanical mixing with Mo oxide and nanopowder is studied under non-oxidative conditions. It has been established that the highest methane conversion per one run and maximal yield of aromatic hydrocarbons are reached for the sample containing 4.0 mass.% the Mo nanopowder. The stability of Mo-containing zeolite catalysts in the process of methane dehydroaromatization at different GHSV has been studied and a characteristic presence of the induction period caused by the formation of active Mo forms both on the external surface and into the zeolite channels has been established. Both the duration of induction period and stable catalyst operation are decreasing with increasing of GHSV. It was demonstrated that acidic properties of a Mo-containing zeolite catalyst depend on the Mo concentration and method of its introduction

Screening of cosmological constant for De Sitter Universe in non-local gravity, phantom-divide crossing and finite-time future singularities

We investigate de Sitter solutions in non-local gravity as well as in non-local gravity with Lagrange constraint multiplier. We examine a condition to avoid a ghost and discuss a screening scenario for a cosmological constant in de Sitter solutions. Furthermore, we explicitly demonstrate that three types of the finite-time future singularities can occur in non-local gravity and explore their properties. In addition, we evaluate the effective equation of state for the universe and show that the late-time accelerating universe may be effectively the quintessence, cosmological constant or phantom-like phases. In particular, it is found that there is a case in which a crossing of the phantom divide from the non-phantom (quintessence) phase to the phantom one can be realized when a finite-time future singularity occurs. Moreover, it is demonstrated that the addition of an R2R^2 term can cure the finite-time future singularities in non-local gravity. It is also suggested that in the framework of non-local gravity, adding an R2R^2 term leads to possible unification of the early-time inflation with the late-time cosmic acceleration.Comment: 42 pages, no figure, version accepted for publication in General Relativity and Gravitatio
