On mini-superspace limit of boundary three-point function in Liouville field theory

We study mini-superspace semiclassical limit of the boundary three-point function in the Liouville field theory. We compute also matrix elements for the Morse potential quantum mechanics. An exact agreement between the former and the latter is found. We show that both of them are given by the generalized hypergeometric functions.Comment: 18 page

Topological defects in the Liouville field theories with different cosmological constants

We construct topological defects in the Liouville field theory producing jump in the value of cosmological constant. We construct them using the Cardy-Lewellen equation for the two-point function with defect. We show that there are continuous and discrete families of such kind of defects. For the continuous family of defects we also find the Lagrangian description and check its agreement with the solution of the Cardy-Lewellen equation using the heavy asymptotic semiclasscial limit.Comment: 15 page

Identification and Mitigation of Anomalous Signals in CMS Hadronic Calorimeter

    Get PDF
The CMS HCAL detector occasionally records anomalous large energy signals that correspond to particles hitting the transducers. Anomalous signals in HCAL can also be produced by rare random discharges of the readout detectors. We present a summary of various sources of anomalous signals, the algorithms developed to identify them, and the performance of these algorithms in the CMS collision data

Searches for a low-mass Higgs boson at the Tevatron

This proceeding presents an overview of recent experimental searches for the standard model Higgs boson. These searches are based on data collected by the CDF and the D0 experiments operating at the Fermilab Tevatron protonantiproton collider with √s = 1.96TeV. We focus on searches that are sensitive to a low-mass Higgs boson production with mH 140GeV/c2. Using up to 4.2 fb−1 of data, both CDF and D0 find no evidence for Higgs boson production, and set 95% confidence level upper limits on Higgs boson production cross-section times branching ratio

Neoliberal policies and evolution of crony capitalism in Morocco and Tunisia

The implication of neoliberal policies directed to lessen state interventionism and increase the role of markets making the economies more competitive and efficient. Neoliberal policies applied in Morocco and Tunisia during the 1980s and 1990s aimed to transform the state from the economy with strong state involvement and intervention into a liberalized market economy where market forces are free to make economic decisions. However, the applied neoliberal reforms have been used to favor the elites, family groups and clans. This study examines whether the neoliberal policies under non-democratic regimes might influence the evolution of crony capitalism. Specifically, the full package of neoliberal policies examined and detected the plausible mechanism that used by elites to develop crony capitalism. To be specific, the findings show that privatization used by cronies to consolidate the existing cronyistic network and transfer cronyism from interpersonal and cultural social phenomenon structural and systematic one: crony capitalism.http://www.ester.ee/record=b5145098*es

S-move matrix in the NS sector of N=1N=1 super Liouville field theory

In this paper we calculate matrix of modular transformations of the one-point toric conformal blocks in the Neveu-Schwarz sector of N=1N=1 super Liouville field theory. For this purpose we use explicit expression for this matrix as integral of product of certain elements of fusion matrix. This integral is computed using the chain of integral identities for supersymmetric hyperbolic gamma functions derived by the degeneration of the integrals of parafermionic elliptic gamma functions.Comment: 25 page
